Manufacturing Process Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Manufacturing Process Engineer to join our dynamic VF team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes, assembly techniques, and test equipment. This role is critical in ensuring the efficiency and quality of our external manufacturing operations. The position will report to the Virtual Factory PMO & Industrial Performance Manager and will be based in the GSC Mty Campus, MDIC offices.

What will you do:

  • Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and quality.
  • Oversee assembly operations to ensure adherence to specifications and standards.
  • Maintain test equipment to ensure product quality and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve production issues.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for process improvements.
  • Train and support production staff on new processes and equipment.
  • Monitor and analyze production data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Own CAMA (Capacity Management) for incumbent production lines.
  • Monitor maintenance program for dies and equipment used on the Contract Mfg supply chain

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing process engineering.
  • Knowledge on assembly techniques and test equipment (Preferably).
  • Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Basic knowledge of automation in manufacturing
