About the opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced logistics and quality project manager to join our dynamic team in our SMART Distribution Centre based in Ingleburn, NSW.
As the Logistics Quality Lead, you will be responsible for transformational change in the Distribution Centres balancing achievement of operational ambitions with Continuous improvement activities in the CS&Q domain.
Reporting to the Director, Customer and Offer Quality, Pacific, the Logistics Quality Lead's expertise will be essential in providing operational insights and improvements that enhance the quality of service in logistics across the Pacific region.
Key responsibilities:
- Coordinate reporting and analysis of Logistics measures in Supply chain environment including Cost of Poor Quality and Delivery Complaint requests
- Identify and investigate quality escapes and implement containment actions and permanent corrective actions, driving customer resolution
- Work with Operational team to guide and coach ensuring quality fundamentals and undertaking activities such as PFMEA and quality workshops
- Develop program of continuous improvement including PFMEA, PCP, and Lean toolbox
- Collaborate with operational staff to bring cultural change and adherence to Quality fundamentals by integrating into everyday rituals and cadences
- Maintain best practice sharing and community of practice across the network
- Work with global stakeholders to share, learn and develop local capabilities
- Coach and train DC team in quality tools and approaches
About you:
To find success in this position you will have 8+ years of experience in a Quality or Process/Project Management position and be supported by continuous improvement and Lean 6 Sigma experience together with tertiary qualification in a Quality or Logistics related discipline
Key skills and experience:
- Influencing skills with a global mindset
- Demonstrated resilience when dealing with issues on mission critical infrastructure
- Demonstrated communication skills to internal and external customers in challenging customer situations
- Commercial acumen and skills in executing quality tools in a matrix environment
- Organisational skills and ability to form and drive cross functional teams to an outcome
- Well-developed digital skills and a technical aptitude
