Based in Adelaide, SA we have an exciting opportunity for a collaborative and commercially astute Key Account Manager to partner with our mining and water customers, co-creating solutions that help to meet their challenges and realise their strategic objectives. About the Role

Working closely with named strategic key accounts, this role will be responsible for identifying new opportunities and increasing the share of our solutions and services for Industrial Automation and Energy Management. The Key account Manager will have the opportunity to coordinate national activities and provide strategic direction to other sales teams including the development of key account profiles and plans. Success in this position will be achieved by forming strategic relationships at all levels in our customers organisations and will see Schneider Electric recognised as a critical partner of our customers business.

Key responsibilities:

  • Proactively identify and develop new business opportunities within allocated key accounts
  • Develop and execute strategic key account plans
  • Execute and follow solution selling methodology
  • Generate solution orientated proposals aligned to customer requirements
  • Develop and maintain expertise in Schneider products & services and expertise in target/vertical industry(s)


About You

You are someone who gets excited by innovation, are forward looking and have contemporary sales or account management expertise. You are a highly driven individual seeking to work with a value-based organisation whose solutions are leading edge.

In addition, you possess the following relevant skills and attributes

  • demonstrable success in an industrial solutions sales or account management capacity supplying, at a senior level
  • experience in the mining sector would be advantageous
  • training in a leading sales execution methodology (Miller Heiman, Richardson, Value Selling or similar)
  • familiarity with solution selling methodologies and practices
  • success in a customer-facing/relationship building capacity (business development, account management technical sales or similar) is essential
  • degree or technical qualification may be advantageous but not essential (Business management, Engineering or Science discipline)
  • strong ability to identify and build relationships with key stakeholders at all levels within an organisation
