Mission:
To be directly responsible for specific National Key Accounts across the UK. The Key Account Manager owns the relationship between Drayton and the customer to effectively sell our products/services, maximise revenue potential and ensure achievement of individual sales target through planning, implementation, monitoring, control, and corrective action.
The Residential Controls business within the Schneider Electric group is a global provider of devices used to control heating, hot water, humidity and cooling in domestic and small commercial installations and is expanding into the world of Smart Products.
The business is investing heavily in new product design, market expansion and further development of existing markets. In particular, it is creating an exciting new range of Internet and cloud-connected smart products to exploit the opportunities provided by the rapid growth of the Internet of Things (IoT).

Responsibilities:
- Manage and develop our key accounts and build strong relationships to become a partner/adviser to our customers.
- Grow existing accounts by implementing new opportunities/initiatives, taking larger share of wallet, and driving our businesses together.
- Put in place the key elements of the commercial relationship (pricing, terms, and conditions etc), working with internal functions as appropriate leveraging cross selling opportunities in the group.
- Achieve annual sales and provide accurate forecasting.
- Act as primary interface between Drayton and the customer to maximise full customer satisfaction by proactively supporting the customer and problem solving.
- Provide market, competitor and customer intelligence back to other functions within the Heating Controls business.
- Work and engage proactively across all areas of the business including Marketing, Finance, Engineering and Operations.
- Work closely with other members of the sales team to support/win national opportunities and drive business specific initiatives.
Skills & Experience:
- Evidenced sales experience - strong consultative/strategic selling and negotiation skills managing Key Accounts.
- Knowledge of the HVAC market.
- A track record of meeting/exceeding yearly sales revenue and margin target.
- Self-motivated - comfortable working independently and within a team.
- Strong presentation, problem solving, communication and selling skills.
- CRM experience
- Be open minded and willing to push the boundaries to look at doing things differently.
- Demonstrate self-leadership and motivation to "push" sales into channel partners and "pull" into the contractor.
- Proven experience in driving success through cross functional teams.
