For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $112,000 - $168,000 per year, which includes base pay and short-term incentive.

The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Schneider Electric is recruiting for an Internal Controls Specialist (NAM GSC) in Nashville; Chicago, IL or Dallas, TX.

As the Internal Controls Specialist for Global Supply Chain - North America, you will play a critical role in protecting the company's interests and ensuring our GSC locations adhere to our internal control and risk management standards. By promoting a culture of compliance and operational excellence, you will significantly contribute to the organization's long-term success and resilience. This role requires strong collaboration and effective relationships with teams across Finance, Global Supply Chain, Accounting and Global Internal Audit.

Internal Control Design & Compliance:

• Partner with GSC NAM Finance Business Partners to assess and enhance the design and effectiveness of internal controls at our GSC NAM locations or transversally within GSC Finance teams.

• Serve as a subject matter expert on our Group Risk and Key Internal Control (KICs) Framework for our GSC Finance Business Partners and Operations.

• Proactively identify and assess operational and financial risks within GSC NAM processes.

• Develop and implement effective risk mitigation strategies and enhance existing controls to proactively address identified risks. Simultaneously, maintain and disseminate regional guidelines to empower process owners in successfully navigating compliance requirements.

• Effectively communicate complex information related to internal controls and risk management to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Continuous Improvement:

• Drive accountability for process owners for open action plans from internal and external audits, self-assessments, and cross-auditing activities by facilitating the follow-up and monitoring remediation of action plans.

• Provide support and leverage learnings across the region, where applicable, incorporating any new findings into regional guidelines.

• Drive the annual self-assessment campaign within GSC NAM, including:

o Collaborating with process owners to conduct self-assessments.

o Consolidating and analyzing self-assessment data to identify regional compliance trends and areas for improvement.

o Reporting on the overall compliance status of GSC NAM operations to management.

Special Projects:

• Participate in and contribute to special projects related to internal controls, risk management, and process improvement initiatives as requested in a rapidly evolving environment.

• Support with Internal Audit inquiries and external audits, providing necessary documentation, data, and explanations to facilitate the audit process.

What qualifications will make you successful for this role?

• Minimum 5 years of experience on a similar position

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Finance, Accounting or equivalent (CPA or CIA a plus)

• IT skills: advanced knowledge of Excel, SAP, MS Office (Tableau is a plus)

• Strong interpersonal skills, including excellent written and oral communication skills

• Ability to communicate effectively and influence, interact, and partner with cross-functional and remote teams

• A willingness to challenge status quo and drive continuous improvement through change

• Self-motivated, able to manage change, and ability to work under tight timelines and thrives in a high-growth and challenging environment with strong multi-tasking, analytical and decision making skills
