Schneider Electric is seeking a motivated individual to serve as Industrialization Quality Leader in our Monterrey (MDIC) location, this position will be accountable to support the Industrial and supply chain development in our Offer Lifecycle Management. The position is based in Monterrey, MX and reports to the Industrialization Manager in the Schneider Electric Energy Management Business Unit - Digital Energy Division. The individual is responsible for all aspects of industrial quality related to parts, process, tooling, testing and MES systems.

What do you get to do in this position?

Essential Functions:

• Quality Fundamentals Implementation:

o Leads the Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) to ensure the proper level of quality is built into the processes.

o Leads the Fault Tree Analysis for PFMEA items.

o Creates the Control Plan that ensures all specifications compliance.

o Leads quality issues resolution (8D's) all along the project (Engineering Prototype Early Engagement, Manufacturing Prototype and Pilot Runs).

o Ensures quality items are included in the equipment, tools, and process qualification plans.

o Supports and trains cross functions on methods and tools needed to reach robustness, capability, and quality targets.

o Perform audit to internal SE process and suppliers 'processes.

• APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning):

o Leads deployment of APQP with suppliers.

o Leads the collaboration of the components/sub-assembly risk.

o Leads the planning and execution of the PPAP with suppliers (Production Part Approval Process).

o Drives the requirements of our suppliers to reach quality goals and proper controls.

o Transfers process quality data and requirements to suppliers and Schneider manufacturing facilities.

This job might be for you if:

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
  • • Bachelor's of Science Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical or Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent) is preferred.
  • • 10+ years experience direct support of manufacturing through operations support, supplier quality development or equivalent.
  • • Experience with New Product Introduction (NPI) process.
  • • Experience with electronics assembly process for Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA).
  • • Experience with plastic fabrication, proto-tool, soft-tool and hard-tool processes.
  • • Experience with sheet metal fabrication, high speed stamping and molding processes.
  • • Experience with assembly processes including manual, semi-auto and automatic.


TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • • Quality Core Tools.
  • • GD&T exposure and understanding.
  • • Experience with metrology equipment (CMM, micrometers, height gauges).
  • • Strong use of statistical tools and principles.
  • • Understanding of data analytics and statistics software packages.


TRAVEL
  • Travel required up to 35 - 40% (domestic and international based on project assignment).

  • • Proven ability to work successfully in a multicultural, virtual environment across various functions (design engineering, purchasing, quality, marketing, finance, mfg operations and others).

  • • Facilitator to drive problem solving and troubleshooting activities.
  • • Work with minimal supervision.
