Industrial Engineer

Responsabilities:

  • Optimize and control manufacturing and shipping supply processes in accordance with the Schneider Production System (SPS);
  • Inventory and storage optimization;
  • Optimization of storage areas and quantities of products (minimum x maximum);
  • Respect performance objectives established;
  • Work with "Lean Manufacturing" projects;
  • Project management of multidisciplinary teams for the acquisition and implementation of new equipment and processes;
  • Management of repairs/improvements of logistics equipment used;
  • Responsible for the technical documentation associated;
  • Develop the processes and be responsible for the technical documents associated and requests for services / purchases from suppliers;
  • Participate in training certification for new operators;
  • Ensure a safe environment for employees;
  • Participate with the Quality Manager in the analysis of complaints, the determination of the root causes, the corrective actions to place and their implementation;
  • Ensure the best techniques / methods for the reception / distribution of parts to the entire plant, improve working conditions, efficiency and quality of dedicated services;
  • Analyze the root causes wastes and implement the necessary corrective and preventive actions;
  • Provide the necessary support to the group;
  • Perform additional tasks assigned by the manager;
  • The ability to work with minimal supervision;
  • Work in collaboration with the maintenance, supply chain, R&D, quality and production departments,
  • All other related job-related tasks;
  • Be able to interact with logistics/production teams and support functions in a collaborative environment;
  • Be a facilitator of change.

Qualifications & Skills required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Industrial or related Engineering;
  • Experience of 3 to 5 years in an industrial environment at best logistics/magazine;
  • Advanced knowledge of Autocad;
  • Advanced Access Database knowledge;
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office, Excel is a requirement;
  • Experience in the deployment of continuous improvement tools (5S, VSM, Kanban, Takt Time, 8 Wastes, Ishikawa Diagram, Kaizen, A3, Visually management, inbound, Material Handling, put away, Picking/Kitting process, Kanban loop, Truck preparation area and etc.);
  • Be able to interact with production teams and support functions in a collaborative environment;
  • Be able to evaluate and manage action plans according to global priorities to achieve defined objectives;
  • Advanced skills in French and English (essential);
  • Engineer member of the OIQ - an asset;
  • Ability to learn quickly and work under pressure.
