Within the Finance & Control, Legal Affairs Department, we are looking for a Global IFRS & Financial Statements Process Owner reporting to the Group Accounting Policy Director.

Your missions:
High level of quality & compliance for internal & external publication:
- You will be the privileged partner of one third (4 or 5) of our Territories' chief accounting officers and their teams to ensure the high quality and compliance of their reporting. The key objective in this partnership will be to build to trustworthy relationship by providing the best level of assistance, challenge, and exchange with each of them. You will certify the correct application of IFRS and Group Reporting standards.
- You will assist territories in the conduct of their balance sheet reviews to ensure the proper supervision and management of our risks and opportunities and be responsible of the communication and follow-up with management.
- You will be responsible of analyzing specific transactions that require high degree of IFRS and accounting expertise and assist the territories or the businesses to apply the correct accounting treatment. In this purpose, you will present and justify our positions to our external auditors and actively follow the IFRS / IFRIC / AMF / ESMA updates and publications.
- You will assist the territories in the implementation and improvement of our global accounting processes and our Accounting Key Internal controls to increase standardization across the Group and therefore improve compliance.

- Strong & ambitious commitment on margin improvement
- You will assist the businesses by analyzing new offers schemes or unusual transactions and working on the best solution in term of compliance and profitability for the Group.
- The role provides a challenging day-to-day interactivity with countries, business (Business Finance & country CFOs & CAOs, GSC organization...), corporate functions (Tax, Treasury, M&A, Legal, Investor Relations etc.) and a unique perspective over the whole Company. You will become a real support to operations & businesses.
- Dynamic M&A pipeline:
- You will be involved in pre-deal diligences and be responsible for deals analysis to determine the proper accounting treatment for Schneider Electric.
- You will also support territories with the accounting of disposed / acquired businesses.
- Finance transformation for more automation and efficiency:
- You will be part of the Finance transformation journey and be a crucial actor of the building of our End2End (E2E) Accounting:
- You will participate to several transversal projects such as accounting processes automation, with numerous departments and work in collaboration with them and with the territories to build our E2E accounting and to actively participate to our Finance Transformation.
- You will be supporting local entities in their local transformation including tools and ERP deployment, making sure that the changes remain compliant with Group policy and consolidation requirements, and improve compliance.
- Invest in talents:
- You will integrate a very dynamic team of 4 members and be consistently in contact with finance people all around the world to assist them and analyze new transactions.
- Your role will also be to skill up our accounting population by providing monthly IFRS trainings, explanations, webinars and participating to the building of the best-in-class accounting handbook.
- You will actively participate to the animation of our Accounting Leaders Community managed by our team in which we encourage best practices sharing and interactions.
- This position is an opportunity to increase your knowledge in corporate finance, and you are expected to move to senior finance positions after your experience in our department. Schneider Electric invests in its talents, giving them opportunity to grow in the Group, in France or abroad.
Experiences and specific knowledge required:
- Graduated from a Business school or university / engineer school.
- Fluent in English required since all interactions are in English (very important)
- Minimum 5 years of experience, including a successful experience in audit or within an international Group applying IFRS standards.
- Expertise in IFRS and complex accounting analysis.
