HVAC Mechanical Project Engineer

Schneider Electric is looking for a Mechanical Project /Estimator/Engineer for the West Chester, OH area.

The HVAC Mechanical Project Estimator /Engineer will analyze project specifications and blueprints to provide accurate cost estimates for mechanical, sheet metal, and piping installations. This role ensures compliance with industry standards while delivering cost-effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze historical cost data and collaborate with clients, vendors, and internal teams to prepare estimates.
  • Review blueprints and documentation for labor, materials, and time estimates.
  • Work with engineers, architects, and subcontractors on cost adjustments and project scope.

  • Participate in project meetings and maintain communication regarding change orders and project status.
  • Manage multiple projects, ensuring they meet time, scope, budget, quality, and safety requirements.
  • Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and ensure all estimating documents are organized and accessible.

Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in the HVAC industry and estimating is required .
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts and industry regulations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD Fabrication, EstMEP , and Quotesoft .
  • Kentucky Masters License or OH HVAC license (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
  • Familiarity with HVAC load calculations, equipment sizing, ductwork, and piping design.

Skills:
  • Problem-solving mindset with effective conflict resolution skills.
  • Strong organizational and communication abilities.
  • Understanding of financial aspects in project management.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent writing skills.

Note: Travel to various job sites is required .
