Mission
Discover the opportunity to join an international, dynamic, and responsible company that fosters the development of all its people around the world. Every day, we empower employees to achieve more and experience exciting careers. Find out how our values and unique position make Schneider Electric the employer of choice.
Schneider Electric's Services organization is growing rapidly, in part through the development of a new, innovative business model to drive both sales and execution. Core to this new approach is an "Uber-like" digital dispatch platform that will connect "demand" for Services (work orders) with outsourced/crowdsourced "supply" (contractor labor force).
Outcome Analytics is the next level of Service Innovation helping to drive hypergrowth in the CS&P Segment. Partnering with the latest Aveva Technology it's a live program to deliver true system level data driven predictive outcomes for full-Service plans on complex pre-fab and stick built Data Centers encompassing UPS, Battery, ATS, Switchgear and Cooling (HVAC) technology...not to mention Genies, PLC's, Power Meters, etc. It's truly system orientated.

Is AI real or is it just Boolean logic, rules and physics wrapped in marketing? To delivery real value for clients through analytics it's not just about how much data and compute you can throw at the problem, it's the combination of domain expertise, data and contextual information to deliver real outcomes for our clients. Outcomes are in the structure of full service/full risk contracts. We're not selling software; we're selling outcomes such the models that have to work! Snake oil and vaporware won't cut it...it's our risk.
This is really the first project in SE where we have an abundance of data, context and SME support available to drive real analytical insights. This is a practical application in the field with thousands of HVAC units, breakers, and UPSs; not a lab-built R&D project in Grenoble. There is a lot of data and access to service logs to determine "truth" from OUR service interventions. It's the perfect SME/data science combination.
Working with the Global AI hub and the data, the HVAC Domain expert will help:
- Build analytics to optimize service interventions,
- Prioritize pro-active interventions where issues are identified,
- Delay interventions where the models and data indicate that as feasible,
- Predict the remaining useful life of an asset within the system,
- Pro-actively predict potential short/medium term failure to priorities intervention, and
- Work with your extended Schneider network to help deliver domain expertise to enrich and encapsulate insight into these models.
Work with the SE AI Hub in the Aveva platform to create and deliver relevant specific functional objectives based on described use cases:
- Standardized rules and alerts by asset class across the platform,
- Data validation and cleansing,
- Nomenclature standardization,
- Data connectivity and standardization,
- Complex rules built and standardized across the platform,
- Single variable and multivariable anomaly detection across the platform,
- Optimized communication models and data types to enable long term predictive capabilities, which may leverage sub-cycle device computing/access to log files, enabling a Hybrid cloud approach,
- Provide design optimization recommendations based on service requirements,
- Produce documentation and workflow support as requested,
- Manage and maintain live models,
- Support API's to 3 rd -party systems for external analytics and insight responses,
- Support API's for Service Bureau alarm intervention,
- Anomaly detection models and methods for feature development and refinement, and
- Build advanced analytics/advanced regression tools leading to ML where the Use Cases require it and/or the clients want it.
You can expect to:
- Gather and prioritize Use Cases for our Services execution models,
- Manage the development, setup, and execution activity for prioritized Use Cases,
- Maintain the project schedule and communicate regularly with stakeholders and executive leadership to align expectations,
- Plan, communicate, and manage project risks and/or critical technical issues,
- Initiate corrective actions regarding resources, results, timing, budgets, and quality, and
- Monitor the performance of the project through its lifecycle, including task completion, project team monitoring, schedule reporting, and issue resolution.
You are responsible for:
- Creating and maintaining a practical FMEA for HVACs in the field,
- Providing a matrix of models to help manage the FMEAs, and
- Successful end-to-end implementation and execution of advanced analytics.
Experience Preferred:
- Design, application or field service of cooling/HVAC systems,
- Failure modes and field service work,
- Deep knowledge of commination and data models associated with cooling/HVAC systems,
- Deep knowledge of cooling systems and communication software,
- Project management,
- SE Digital integration knowledge,
- SE Field Services / bFS knowledge, and
- End-to-end process development.
The ideal candidate should have:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience,
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience,
- Excellent communicator, decision maker, team builder,
- Strong leadership skills, ability to work collaboratively,
- Excellent organizational skills and experience developing and documenting business processes, and
