Digital Application Engineering Team

Leads the team of Digital Application Engineering to ensure superior engineering deliverables from the team to projects for GACs, RACs, HUBs and Digital Power DPAC entities within Europe region.

Drive the team size and mix (permanent/contractors), competency and individual development plans in line with group strategy and requests received from supporting entities.

Strong collaboration with GACs, RACs, HUBs and DPACs to forecast and ensure targeted workload for the team and build a strong links and relationship with respective leaders.

Define and respect the team and project budget, be competitive in term of cost, efficiency, and competencies.

Explore and develop application engineering skills and expertise with focus at:
  • Power System Studies;
  • SCADA, EPO, EPAS, EMO M/L, EcoSUI design and integration skills;
  • Digital Protections Programming and Integration including ATS;
  • Coordination with DCS systems and 3 rd parties interfaces;
  • RTU, iPMCC, ION Power Meters integration;
  • Communication protocols and networks;
  • Gateway & Energy servers
  • etc.


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Drive competency and individual development plans for the team of Digital Application Engineers to ensure right team's competencies (IEC61850 communication, Ecostruxure EPAS/EPO/EMO/PME & protections including automatic transfer);
  • Support Technical Leaders for assigned package/technology during entire project life cycle (tender and/or execution);
  • Drive development of Digital Technical Leaders at REP Bratislava;
  • Through ALMA workload management tool, ensure right sizing of the team (incl. contractors) to undertake the required scopes from GACs, HUBs, RACs and DPACs;
  • Support the team to manage the technical risks, technical variation orders and technical productivity (resource and expenses optimization);
  • Support the tender team to propose optimized technical solutions benefiting from execution experience, ensure right technologies awareness be able to propose right solution;
  • Ensure development of people through competency and individual development plans and/or targeted trainings and identify pool of talents for future promotions;
  • Leverage on existing local/global expertise to reinforce our technical know-how, and extend the value and recognition of the team/people, build actively your network within application community;
  • Be active contributor during Tender Design Review process for A and B projects to validate the technical solution before the bid submittal;
  • Optimize and/or develop necessary technical tools (Application tools: e.g. ETAP, Control Expert, etc...) and processes (TDR, SAP, internal processes...) to ensure required deliverable for stakeholders;
  • Provide necessary technical support to resolve Technical Quality issue for assigned application scope.
  • Willing to lead and/or participate on different transversal plans as specific KPI monitoring, Lead of cybersecurity champion, lead and development of testing platform, etc.

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
  • Technical university - master/engineer degree / Electrical Engineer
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience (Minimum 3 years in Digital Solution environment)
  • Management experience in similar position 1- 3 years
  • Strong Electrical Distribution and EPMS knowledge, particularly with LV & MV substations
  • Knowledge in Customer projects business, Power System and Digital Power
  • Leadership habits focusing on building strong team to deliver and achieve expected results
  • Experience from international environment and strong multi-cultural experience
  • English fluent - mandatory
  • Other language as French and/or Spanish and/or German is an advantage
