Description of the Department/Project:
Job opportunity at the headquarters of Schneider Modular Data Center for the design and manufacturing plant of data centers of Schneider Electric located in Barcelona. This is one of the largest data center manufacturing plants in Europe, manufacturing and exporting data centers worldwide for major tech giants as well as multinational companies across all sectors. We have 120 collaborators dedicated to design, processes, purchasing, planning, industrialization, engineering, etc., and a total of approximately 200 technicians dedicated to manufacturing.
What will you do?
Given the significant growth of the sector, we can adapt the position based on academic background and possible previous professional experience. The prefabricated modules have different installations, such as climate control, fire suppression, monitoring, and electrical installations, among others. Depending on the profile of the selected person, we can adapt and define the position and roles to be performed. Given the exponential growth of the sector, we have several open positions in all departments of the company, making it possible to adapt the offer to the selected profile.
We manage an end-to-end process of engineering to order (ETO) projects, so you can be part of the offer process, solution design, cost analysis, equipment design, quality, industrialization, or supply chain, among other areas. We will select two to three of these areas to rotate during the project year, to achieve a complete vision of the process and a solid knowledge base.
- Develop and manage the lifecycle of data center products, from conception to manufacturing launch
- Collaborate with engineering, sales, and marketing teams to define product requirements and ensure alignment with market needs
- Oversee the technical development and implementation of new features and product improvements
- Provide technical support and training to factory teams
- Monitor product performance and collect feedback for future improvements
- Contribute to continuous process and product improvement
What will you learn?
Work in a project entity of data center installations, in a dynamic, collaborative, and international environment. Depending on the department, you will gain electrical knowledge in equipment such as UPSs, Battery Cabinets, fire suppression systems, metal part manufacturing, installation solutions complying with local and state regulations of each client.
If you are:
- Fresh graduate in Engineering
- Able to start a 1-year program in May 2025
- Fluent in English and Spanish, written and spoken
- Preferably in electrical, electronic, or energy engineering
- Analytical skills, project management, teamwork
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
