For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $164,000 - $246,000 per year, which includes base pay and short-term incentive.
The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Job Summary :
The Global Leader of Strategy and Insights - will play a pivotal role in defining and steering the strategic direction of our digital grid software business. This leadership position is responsible for long-term strategic planning, M&A integration, partnership development, and ecosystem mapping, ensuring our organization remains at the forefront of innovation in the UTILITY GRID sector. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of grid software domains, a robust network within the GRID industry, and a proven track record of driving transformative strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities :
- Strategic Vision and Leadership :
- Develop and articulate a clear strategic vision for the digital grid software business, aligning it with overall company goals and positioning the organization as a market leader.
- Drive the H1-H2-H3 horizon planning processes, ensuring the organization is prepared for immediate, mid-term, and long-term market changes, with a focus on all inorganic options, while the Product office will lead the Product Roadmap & organic options.
- Partnership Strategy incl M&A
- Establish and cultivate high-level strategic partnerships with key industry players, technology innovators, and regulatory bodies to enhance product offerings and market access.
- Develop collaborative ecosystems that promote cross-functional synergies and maximize value creation for all stakeholders.
- Lead the identification and execution of strategic M&A opportunities that enhance competitive positioning, including due diligence, negotiations, and integration strategies.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to define strategic priorities for acquisitions based on market demands and growth trajectories.
- Work closely with SE.Ventures to scout for Potential targets
- Leads all ISV (Independent Software Vendor) ecosystem relationships
- Strategic Market Intelligence & Ecosystem Mapping
- Conduct comprehensive ecosystem market sizing & mapping to identify market disruptors, emerging trends, and partnership opportunities that align with the organization's strategic vision.
- Utilize insights from ecosystem analysis to inform product development, market entry strategies, and competitive positioning.
- Oversight of Strategic projects
- Lead cross-functional teams in executing strategic projects, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and responsiveness to market evolution.
- Monitor the effectiveness of strategic initiatives through established metrics, adjusting plans based on performance and market feedback.
- Stakeholder Influence & Communication
- Serve as a key spokesperson for strategic initiatives/projects, effectively communicating vision and progress to internal stakeholders and the executive team
- Foster a culture of collaboration and strategic thinking across the organization, encouraging proactive engagement with strategic priorities.
- Thought Leadership
- Position the organization as a thought leader in the digital grid space by developing and publishing white papers, case studies, and industry insights that showcase our expertise and vision.
- Represent the company at industry conferences, webinars, and seminars to share knowledge on emerging trends and technologies in the energy sector.
- Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to enhance the organization's branding and visibility in relevant industry publications and platforms.
- Driving Regulation awareness around Commercial , Business Models , Financial models and influence to drive Digital Grid Transformation towards Software and SaaS
- Education : Master's degree in Business Administration, Strategy, Engineering, or a related field; an advanced degree or MBA from a top-tier institution is preferred.
- Experience :
- Minimum of 10+ years of strategic leadership experience, with substantial experience in the energy or software sectors , particularly in digital grid solutions.
- Proven track record of successfully leading M&A transactions, strategic partnerships, and horizon planning initiatives at an executive level.
- Knowledge :
- Deep understanding of grid software domains, including but not limited to smart grid technologies, energy management systems, demand response, and distributed energy resources, ADMS, GIS, DERMS etc
- Awareness of current trends, challenges, and innovations in the digital grid and energy sectors.
- Skills :
- Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking capabilities, with a robust ability to leverage data for decision-making.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with C-suite stakeholders and external partners.
- Strong leadership presence, with a demonstrated ability to influence and drive organizational change at all levels
- Teamwork is critical with the Digital Grid Product Office, who lead the Product Roadmap built organically and several other stakeholders, as needed across various functions
Preferred Qualifications :
- Established network within the energy technology landscape and familiarity with regulatory frameworks and market dynamics.
- Experience in leading global teams and managing cross-border strategic initiatives.
