  • The Global Classification Project Manager position will lead the end-to-end successful delivery of classification transformation projects
  • This will include assisting in budget control, recommending resources, effecting change & communication with transparency to your manager and key stakeholders
  • You will collaborate closely with team members to manage scope, communicate business benefits, assist on goal development, drive execution, adhere to timelines for deliverables, and advise on risk & project issues
  • This position will drive automated solutions to manual processes inherent to the current state of play
  • This position will report directly to the Senior Manager, Global Jurisdiction & Classification and have a dotted line to the Global Transformation Program Leader


Roles & Responsibilities

  • Develop a comprehensive classification transformation strategy, in conjunction with the Senior Manager, Global Jurisdiction & Classification, specifically focused on standardizing processes and increasing automation
  • Execute strategy across a set of aligned classification transformation projects, leveraging internal and external resources
  • Manage projects using a defined approach of Process Standardization, Documentation, Automation, Trusted Data, Change Management and Communication to drive towards Trust@ Scale
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as Engineering, Procurement, Digital, Sales, Compliance, Learning Teams, etc., to achieve project objectives
  • Work closely with Export Control Center of Excellence members, and other departments as needed, to understand requirements
  • Identify resources needed for projects, manage risks, build contingencies and mitigation plans.
  • Report project status to key stakeholders on regular basis
  • Propose solutions for challenge areas of projects, discuss with key stakeholders and produce course correction actions
  • Coordinate across regions and departments to ensure actions are completed according to timelines.
  • Transition from project mode to run mode once objectives are achieved

Qualifications
  • Minimum bachelor's degree
  • Proven history of developing and implementing successful projects
  • Expert knowledge of export and import classification
  • At least 5+ years of experience in project management, or similar management role
  • Experience with data analysis and interpretation of KPI's
  • 25% travel domestically and internationally when required
  • Proficient in the all applications in the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Planner (or alternate project planning tool), Teams)

  • Ability to lead and motivate a team in a challenging environment

Preferences
  • Advanced degree
  • At least 7+ years of experience in project management, or similar management role at a multi-national company
