General Manager - Quality Assurance / Control Engineer

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensuring that the project deliverables (applications / documents / engineering outputs) meet the project requirements and applicable standards through testing and verification.
  • Collaborating with project and other functional teams in addressing the deficiencies identified through testing and verification.
  • Periodically consolidate the details of deficiencies identified and share with all concerned. Work with the project and functional teams in the identification of suitable corrective and preventive actions.
  • Improve the existing quality assurance / control processes. Propose new techniques / processes for achieving quantum improvements.
  • Performing management system audits to ascertain extent of process conformance and identification of improvement opportunities.
  • Providing training on quality assurance / control topics
  • Being aware of the developments in the realm of quality and organizational aspects

Key Tasks and Duties
  • Study the project requirements and applicable standards and understand the requirement for deliverables.
  • Test / verify the deliverables in comparison to the requirements and suitably record the conformances and non-conformances and communicate.
  • Align to the project requirements for prioritizing the quality assurance / control activities on a day-to-day basis.
  • Investigate the causes of non-conformances and propose improvements.


Qualifications

Education and Certification Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Instrumentation/Control/Electrical/Chemical/Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 to 15 years of relevant experience in engineering design and development, quality assurance/control roles.
  • Familiarity with various quality assurance techniques and testing / verification methodologies.
  • Familiar in working with Microsoft Office tools and knowledge in advanced Excel knowledge and developing power point presentations for data analysis is also expected.
  • Knowledge of statistical quality control tools and sampling techniques
  • Knowledge of Functional Safety and Cybersecurity
  • Certifications on Internal Quality Auditing on ISO 9001:2015
  • Six Sigma / Lean Six Sigma (Minimum of Green belt) is desirable.
  • Knowledge of AI would be an added advantage.
