Schneider Electric - Power Products is looking for a dynamic and charismatic leader driven by passion, and results for a new key team in our Bangalore site.

He/she will play a central role in our organization managing a team of Highly skilled Firmware engineers, ensuring the achievements of our business targets in terms of Quality, TTM, Innovation, profitability and at the same time contributing to the competence strategy set-up and deployment.

Direct experience in product development is essential and background in Agile methodology is a strong plus.

Responsibilities:

Business Targets Enablement:

ü Support the competency set-up strategy (in terms of size, geography & skills) and take the accountability for the deployment

ü Understand the competency needs and plan the resource allocation into Agile Teams accordingly (including engagement of external partners)

ü Ensure the high quality of the job done and the TTM targets providing regularly coaching to people in his/her team.

ü Identify, alert, and escalate risks when needed

ü Strong contribution in ensuring the adherence to disciplinary policies, procedures like coding rules, reviews, integration, sanity verification and release activities within team

ü Guide and mentor design team, support peers in technical challenges and process hurdles

ü Identify team skills evolutions based on company competency strategy and road map

ü Build and implement the competency plan and upskill the team (and anyone in an acting role)

ü Identify & foster opportunities for skill development (e.g., trainings, courses...)

ü Develop Customer centric mindset

ü Create an environment that allows the team to thrive

ü Advise and supports on career development also in collaboration with other team managers

Skill sets:

Basic / Core skills:

ü Having good achievements in academics and holding minimum qualification of bachelor's degree in Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation / Computer engineering

ü Overall, 20 years of experience in Firmware development

ü Minimum 8 years of experience in Firmware design and development

ü Minimum 5 years of experience in multithreaded application development

ü Minimum 3 years of experience in architect/designing time/safety critical systems, complex product development

ü Strong knowledge on micro controllers, processors, and its core peripherals for best customization of power and performance

ü Experience in working with multi-process hardware and software platforms

ü Strong expertise in embedded C, C++ development; Experience in developing generic and portable software components

ü Good Knowledge of wireless communication (ZIGBEE, BLE)

ü Good knowledge on LPWAN (LORA, LTE-M, NB-IOT)

ü Experience in working on Protocols used for connecting to cloud servers like STOMP, MQTT

ü Having experience in socket programming

ü Exposure to communication protocols like Modbus, CAN, IEC61850 or similar

ü Exposure to TCP/IP suite and protocols like SNTP, SMTP, FTP, etc. And exposure to network redundancy protocols like RSTP

ü Exposure to HTTP, RESTful API

ü Passion and Experience in product life cycle management (Development, Adaptation, Maintenance, Obsolescence)

ü Passion and Experience in complex multi-domain product development (Hardware, Firmware, Testing, Certification, Safety-Quality reviews, project gates, etc)

ü Experienced with knowledge transfer process

ü Experience in mentoring team of technical staffs from multiple projects and/or multi-site projects

ü Experience in using static code analysis tools, unit testing tools, integration testing tools, binary analysis tools (klocwork, lint, gtest, vector-cast, Etc)

ü Experience in using configuration management tools like Git, Subversion, etc

ü Good Knowledge on Cybersecurity process

Soft skills:

ü Good communication skills already experienced with multi-site and multi-cultural teams

ü Strong ownership and self-motivation attitude.

ü Experience in Agile organization is a plus, Agile mindset is a must

ü Busines acumen

ü Excellent oral & written communication in English

ü Team player able to work closely with leads, peer groups, architects and design teams
