Job Title: Firmware Engineer

Location: Coventry, UK

Your Mission: At Schneider, our philosophy has product quality at its core. Being a firmware developer in our R&D team, your mission is to design, build and validate features and functionality for the Talus RTU. You will providing a senior role, developing new functionality, improving product quality and working as part of a team.

Your Key responsibilities:
• Design and code embedded firmware for our industrial controllers and communication products.
• Prepare detailed software designs based on requirements and system specifications.
• Code firmware based on detailed designs.
• Test that firmware meets design goals and prepare automated tests to aid in verifying future changes.

• Contribute to product design though design reviews.
• Participate in and contribute to peer-code reviews.

Your Skills and attributes:
• Awareness of Ethernet and cellular communication and their usage in industrial applications.
• Previous experience in developing in C and/or C++ is essential
• You should have an awareness of industrial equipment; pumps, tanks, flows, PLC's and control systems.
• Awareness of developing embedded software in industrial controls environment
• You should be able to work with 3rd party testing teams.
• Be able to travel across UK and Ireland

Your Education:
• Further education in Electronics, Communications and/or Software engineering.
• Experience of working with development teams, structured development processes.
