We are currently seeking a dedicated Field Services Health, Safety & Environment Specialist to take on the role of overseeing and ensuring comprehensive safety measures for all personnel involved in Field Services Operations within the Western Provinces of our organization. Reporting directly to the HSE Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing and effectively implementing safety procedures, processes, and relevant training initiatives. This role will also involve organizing and participating in safety audits and inspections, serving as the safety correspondent to the HSE Director, and escalating any identified hazardous situations.
In the event of an accident, the incumbent will lead investigations involving relevant parties and establish comprehensive corrective action plans. Additionally, they will spearhead the deployment of environmental plans and programs to align with corporate and local commitments in this area.

Operating in accordance with the principles of the Schneider Electric Performance System (SPS), our policies, and values, close collaboration with internal partners will be essential to ensure the application of health, safety, environment, and building management policies, thereby contributing to our operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance of Field Services locations with applicable Environment, Health and Safety requirements.
- Lead the preparation of certification audits (COR, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001) where applicable.
- Foster a "Safety first" culture among the team and promote "Safety first" behavior within the organization.
- Educate Field Service population on hazards and risks they are exposed to.
- Provide occupational health and safety support such as policy and legislative interpretations.
- Identify, investigate risks, and recommend solutions to rectify any risks.
- Develop a culture of reporting accidents and near misses, follow up investigations, and assist in the creation of action plans to prevent re-occurrence.
- Assist in identifying the proper safety tools and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required to work safely.
- Verify compliance by ensuring the completion of the safety audit program by supervisors and keeping records that demonstrate compliance and regular participation.
- Drive subcontractor's Pre-Qualification procedure for contractors used in service with procurement and operations and help to ensure that contractors comply with the same standards as SE employees.
- Provide training such as 8-hour electrical refresher, emergency response, Monthly safety meeting topics, etc., to employees.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in occupational safety preferred.
- 5-10 years of experience in Field Services safety, manufacturing, or Safety-sensitive environment.
- 5-10 years experience in Managerial and/or Leadership experience preferred.
- CRSP CRST, NCSO designations are considered assets.
- Proficiency in English; bilingual in French is an asset.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills in both English and French.
- Ability to proficiently address multiple tasks in a timely manner.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office platform.
