Main Responsabilities:
- Installs electrical apparatus on customer sites.
- Troubleshoots machinery/equipment to identify and correct malfunctions. Performs preventative and corrective maintenance.
- Provides service cost estimates.
- Orders parts and schedules delivery dates.
- Maintain, repair, retrofit, and provide technical support for all Schneider products, both in the shop and on site.
- Instructs customers and sales personnel on the operation and maintenance of equipment.
- Performs warranty and recall work.
- Performs testing, calibration, checking, correcting, adjusting and part component replacement services on customer products.
- Constructs and tests circuits and equipment utilizing various tools and machines such as computers, workstations, circuit diagram.
- Analyzes malfunctions in equipment and interprets maintenance manuals, using knowledge of systems and electronics to isolate and correct the fault.
- Consults with product support and engineering personnel to determine solutions to unusual problems in systems.
- Reports customer suggestions on product improvement and existing product designs to the appropriate technical specialist.
- Implements design modifications and provides installation support for the modifications.
- Performs start-up service as defined in specifications.
- Develops and maintains ongoing customer relationships with regards to all aspects of equipment repair and maintenance.
- Maintains service equipment, tools and documentation.
- Make service report for internal and external customer.

Qualifications and skills required:
- Requires product application knowledge at the basic or entry level on low and medium voltage equipment.
- Minimum 3-5 years field experience.
- Education: engineering technologist, technician or journeyman electrician.
- Possess good interpersonal skills, communication skills (written and oral).
- Familiar with computers and Windows software
- Strong customer orientation and teamwork approach.
- Bilingual French/English is an asset.
- Open to flexible hours and travelling (overtimes)
