We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer (BMS/EPMS) to join our team and make a significant impact. In this role, you will work independently to determine methods and procedures for assignments, supervise and collaborate with engineers and sub-contractors, and serve as a validated Level 2 expert on select product ranges. The position involves applying technical experience and diagnostics for on-site project management, identifying gaps in technical and digital tool skills within the organization, and resolving technical issues raised by other engineers, escalating to higher technical support levels when necessary.
What will you do?
- Perform on-site or remote technical support during new installation, testing and commissioning, maintenance services, repairs and upgrade focusing Building Management System (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring System (EPMS).
- This is a hybrid role where both subject matters focus on Critical Buildings applications.
- Work collaboratively with critical stakeholders including Team Members, Project Engineers, Service Sales engineer, Solution / Tendering Team, and Regional Project team, in identifying new opportunities and delivering comprehensive solutions to customers.
- Be a part of site safety and health inspection to identify potential hazard for safe working environment.
- Preparation of documents not limited to Operation & Maintenance Manual, Method of Statements, and repair work reports.
- When at customer site, look for other business opportunities outside current scope of work and lead them to the sales team.
What qualifications will make you successful?
- Diploma/Degree in Electrical or Communication Engineering Degree with at least 3 years in services onsite environment.
- Experience in EMS, BMS, Power Monitoring or SCADA system knowledge, project implementation, testing & commissioning experience.
- Experience in Programming, commissioning of DDC / IO Controller, Application Server for monitoring / control, and Digital Power Meters.
- Experience in Field device communication protocol knowledge (Modbus, SNMP, BACnet, LonWork, ION, IEC61850) in Critical Buildings.
- Network and Basic IT knowledge experience is a must.
- Experience with logical knowledge in ACMV or HVAC system control logic.
- Experience with Power Monitoring aspect including ability to understand electrical single line diagram, and critical building electrical system requirement.
- Knowledge and have experience in Schneider Electric BMS, Power Monitoring Expert or Power Scada Operation knowledge is an added advantage.
- Has strong communication & writing skills.
- Willing to learn new skill focusing Digital Services solution and IOT offers by Schneider Electric.
- Able to work 90% time onsite and travel across the country.
