Schneider Electric's Industrial Automation department meets a strong demand from our customers and need more talented engineers to join our team . We are looking for you who are a key member of staff within the company Field Services delivery and Support departments where the main responsibility of this engineering role is to undertake site, planned maintenance, breakdown fault find & troubleshooting, and other activities across a range of electronic hardware/software based control and safety systems.
You are part of our delivery organization together with colleagues in Sweden but also with colleagues from across both the Nordics and the UK. The role requires travel, especially within Sweden but also within the whole zone of Nordic and Baltic. Hence a EU or UK passport is required.

Your primary responsibilities:
- Responsible for project delivery and field activities ensuring complex installation, maintenance and repair on customer installed base. Dedicated for field activities on customer installed base and project delivery.
- Execution of technical tasks following notification, dedicated to asset management offer and project and engineering.
- Identify new opportunities while attending customer sites to promote Services growth.
- Field Service Engineering work focused on providing technical advice to customers including commissioning, installing, and testing of products/equipment.
What will you do?
- Provide site-based maintenance, repair, modification (wiring and fitting/assembly), testing and commissioning, on-shore and off-shore.
- Provide sound engineering advice as required across a spectrum of engineering problems.
- Assistance to sales in technical queries, proposals and cost estimating as required.
- Assist in new systems build (design/testing) where required.
- Organization of site visit dates and all logistics for site visits.
- Maintain site modification files to a high standard.
Your skills and experience
- A sound practical understanding of basic electrical and electronic circuits. Be able to follow a system circuit design drawing and then be able to modify system circuitry and connections
- At least some demonstrable site-based experience in electronic/electrical/software (SCADA, PLC or DCS) control and/or safety systems maintenance, fault finding, repair, modification (including wiring and fitting/assembly), testing and commissioning.
- Testing at system level
- Undertaking engineering design changes to existing systems
- Proven hardware and software capabilities.
To be successful in the role, you are methodical, have good interpersonal skills and possess strong problem-solving capabilities. You are self-motivated, self-reliant, and able to work under pressure with the ability to work as part of a team. Possess the necessary communication skills to get results.
