For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $66,000 - $99,000 per year, which includes base pay and short-term incentive.

The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This opportunity is a home-based flexible work schedule with 40-hour guarantee (+Overtime).

This Field Service Engineer position will be within our U.S. Services business, specifically our Power monitoring team. Our Power Monitoring team focuses on servicing SCADA systems and other Power Monitoring equipment in data centers and other industrial sites. We are the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) service provider for APC (American Power Conversion)/MGE/Schneider Electric equipment.

What will you do?
  • Service Low and medium voltage switchgear, Program, troubleshoot & configure various aspects of Power Monitoring (EPMS)/ SCADA application.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, identify and remedy Hardware issues
  • Knowledge of communication protocols such as Modbus, ModbusTCP, BacNet, Profibus,
  • Great customer interaction and building relationships
  • Be the key local customer lead for your specific Service Territory
  • Opportunity to work with sales, solutions and service engineers, and other stakeholders to provide local installation, commissioning, and repair services for integrated power monitoring and control systems
  • Ability to manage travel schedules and documentation for project delivery both in a team and/or individual contributor environment

What qualifications will make you successful?

  • Four year degree or two years associate, with relevant experience, in the field of electrical engineering, computer science, or like discipline
  • Relevant experience in electrical distribution and software/SCADA/PLC programming expertise will be considered in lieu of college degree if they have minimum 3 years (5 years preferred) experience with electrical distribution systems.
  • Effective communication (written/oral/reading/listening), ability to keep relevant stakeholders informed and build network of relationships that would aid business development
  • Ability to travel up to 50% within the territory
