Key responsibilities:
- Maintenance & Repairs: Perform regular maintenance and repairs on building systems and equipment, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
- Preventive Maintenance: Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure the longevity and reliability of facility systems.
- Energy Management: Monitor and optimize energy consumption, identifying opportunities for energy-saving initiatives.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards, conducting regular inspections and risk assessments.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues promptly to minimize downtime and disruptions.
- Project Management: Plan and oversee facility improvement projects, coordinating with contractors and vendors as needed.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and safety inspections.
- Emergency Response: Respond to facility emergencies and provide technical support during crisis situations.

Skills and attributes:
- NVQ Level 3 Electrical and Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience
- Proven experience in facilities engineering or maintenance management.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using computer-aided facility management (CAFM) software.
