Role & Responsibility

• E nhance the company's global export control program and its related controls and processes.

• Be the subject-matter-export (SME) on applicable export control & sanctions regulations and requirements.

• Oversee and provide guidance to adherence of applicable international and national export control & sanctions regulations and requirements

• Support export control product, software and technology classification-related projects & activities for company

• Support in the m onitoring and reporting in a timely manner to Management & stakeholder/s on the development & changes of applicable export control & sanctions regulations and requirement. Especially when the changes have any business and/or operational impacts to the company.

• Support in the c onduct ing reviews & audits at company sites, generates reports to senior management and leads improvement activities.

• Performs training of personnel at all levels on a frequent basis. Advises company sites of new regulations and how they affect business processes.

• Develop & advice procedures that are "self-checking" ensuring adherence to export control & sanctions related regulations.

• Works closely with company sites appointed/management personnel and export control related personnel and/or contacts to ensure continuous improvement of all export control related systems, policies and procedures.

• Lead/support & advice on internal investigations and promptly reports the results of any investigations to management.

• Support in p rovid ing advice & guidance to the management of the company on export control & sanctions related compliance matters & requirements. This may include providing advice & guidance in the preparation and submission of export control & sanctions related licenses and agreements as well as advising on the implementation of technology control plans and other export control & sanctions related procedures and work instructions.

• Dot-line manage and provide guidance to other functional employees of the company with export control & sanctions related compliance responsibilities as applicable.

• Evaluate and provide advice/guidance to the work of the company's export control & sanctions compliance support staff in multiple locations.

• Provide advice & guidance in inter-functional projects relating to export control & sanctions as applicable

• Identify and report to company any potential violations of export control & sanctions laws and any incidents involving significant weaknesses in processes or procedures.

• Provide necessary export control & sanctions training and updates to employees having export control & sanctions compliance functions.

• Support in p rovid ing guidance and recommendations to other departments on strategic planning to ensure efficiency and cost effectiveness in areas that involve export control & sanctions.

• Maintain and assist with the implementation of company export controls & sanctions related policies, procedures and guidelines

• Provide advice & guidance to Global Supply Chain (GSC) and/or Procurement departments in working with outside vendors and service providers in obtaining and /or providing documentation and information required for export control due diligence and compliance requirements.

• Provide advice & support on internal, external, and government directed export control & sanctions related audits and assessments.

• Attend export control & sanctions seminars/conferences to maintain knowledge on regulatory updates and changes.

• Provide advice & recommendations to stakeholders in the preparation of letters and other correspondence to vendors, brokers, and other parties involved in export control & sanctions.

• Develop and prepare periodic updates and metrics reports related to export control & sanctions.

• Provide advice, support and/or back-up in any adhoc export control & sanction projects (e.g. Merger & Acquisition and Divestment, Classification & etc.), activities & discussion of the company.

• Min. Bachelor's degree required; legal and/or advanced degree will be helpful

• Competent export control experience required, preferable in a multinational company

• 4 to 5 years of detailed and extensive knowledge and experience of the China and International Export Control & Sanctions related regulations, licensing, reporting and export program development & management.

• 25% travel domestically and internationally when required

• Demonstrated ability to being a team player

• Proficiency with MS office applications

• Excellent oral and written skills
