Europe Customs Method Specialist

Budapest, Hungary

We are looking for a Europe Customs Methods Specialist to represent the company by acting as liaison for the authorities and manages the gap between corporate customs strategy, rules and regulations with the local customs operations and other internal stakeholders.

What will you do?

As our Customs Methods Specialist, your mission will be the following:

  • Be the support between brokers and Schneider Electric entities
  • Be the administrator of Customs operational tools (Delta Pass, Egide...)
  • Optimize customs operational procedures
  • Deploy new Customs projects on operations
  • Put customs subjects under control (export control, origin, classification, maintain customs authorizations, "licenses, approved economic exporters, REX etc")
  • Manage customs controls (internal-external)
  • Update new regulations in tools (SAP, Integration point, etc.) and business procedures in accordance with the AEO (Authorized Economic Operator)
  • Check and monitor product references in broker tools
  • Carry out the end-of-month reporting DEB (Declaration of Exchange of Goods) and DCG (Complementary Global Declaration) and challenge the actors (corrections of anomalies)
  • Be part of customs implementation and simplification projects

What can make you successful in this position?

  • Master's degree in international trade or International Transport
  • Minimum 3-4 years of professional experience
  • Customs competencies (regulations, collaboration with customs agencies)
  • You are comfortable with digital tools (SAP, Tableau)
  • Your sense of listening and your autonomy are recognized
  • You know how to work in a team and you demonstrate a real sense of service
  • You know how to work in an international environment
  • You are fluent in English (French is a plus)
