At Schneider Electric, we are committed to sustainability, environmental compliance, and transparent reporting. Our Corporate Global Environment Team is seeking a dynamic and organized Environmental Specialist to support our initiatives in these crucial areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • CSRD Reporting & Environmental Compliance: Assist in environmental reporting as part of our broader CSRD framework, ensuring adherence to compliance governance and analysis.
  • Program Support: Contribute to environmental programs, including data automation initiatives, enhancing our operational efficiency.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Lead the assessment and outreach efforts with external stakeholders on key environmental topics, fostering collaboration and communication.
  • System Assessment: Evaluate the maturity of systems managing our environmental impacts, risks, and opportunities, ensuring alignment with ESRSs E1 to E5.
  • Governance Leadership: Act as the internal lead for environmental compliance governance, ensuring ongoing compliance with relevant legislation.
  • Challenge Identification: Proactively identify challenges, maintain common standards, and communicate essential information across the organization.
  • IT Tool Evolution: Assess and recommend IT tools, processes, and programs to optimize compliance with current legislation, including data automation solutions.
  • Legislative Impact Assessment: Analyze upcoming legislative changes and develop appropriate action plans to adapt and remain compliant. # LI-JB10

Education & Experience:
  • Academic Qualifications: Master's degree or Ph.D. in Sustainability, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Professional Experience: 3-8 years of experience in environmental compliance and data management within a complex organizational environment.

Skills:
  • Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is essential; additional languages are a plus.
  • Knowledge Base: Strong understanding of sustainability policies, environmental compliance, and environmental data management.
  • Practical Experience: Hands-on experience with environmental compliance and CSRD reporting processes.
  • Learning Agility: Ability to quickly learn and comprehend global sustainability policies, regulations, standards, and literature.
  • Project Management: Proven track record in managing multiple complex projects simultaneously with excellent organizational skills.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with virtual teams.
  • Proactivity: A proactive mindset with a focus on process improvement and creating effective feedback loops.
