For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $96,000.00 -$144,000.00 per year, which includes base pay and short-term incentive.

The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Join Schneider Electric as a Consultant Application Engineer and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of electrical distribution! In this dynamic position, you will develop deep relationships with Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) executives, mapping Schneider Electric's extensive portfolio to meet customer needs. Your influence will extend horizontally across our organization, orchestrating integrated sales of products, solutions, software, and services that deliver compelling and differentiated offers for assigned accounts. As a trusted advisor, you will guide EPC firms in designing complex, digitally connected electrical distribution systems while leveraging existing relationships to drive growth and innovation.

What will you do?
  • Develop deep relationships with Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) executives, map Schneider Electric's full portfolio to customer needs and work horizontally across the entire Schneider Electric organization to orchestrate and influence integrated sales of products, solutions, software and services that represent the most compelling and differentiated offers for the assigned accounts.
  • Become a trusted advisor with EPC Firms across several market segments to influence and guide the design of complex digitally connected electrical distribution.
  • Leverage existing Schneider Electric relationships within EPC Firms to assist and grow these relationships. Utilize Strat Account Managers, Key Account Managers, V1, V2 relationships to grow understanding of the needs of the EPC.
  • Represent Schneider Electric at various local and regional technical groups and industry events.
  • Ability to develop deep, trusted advisor relationships with EPC executives, map Schneider Electric's full portfolio to customer needs and work horizontally across the entire Schneider Electric organization to orchestrate and influence integrated sales of products, solutions, software and services that represent the most compelling and differentiated offers for the assigned accounts.
  • Provide insights to the Product Lines relative to industry trends, competitors' actions, and code trends. Translate customer needs to tie in other Schneider Electric business units (BU).
  • Advanced to expert understanding of Schneider Electric's software, cloud analytics and services story for owners as it relates to their own digital and sustainability goals.
  • Connect EPC Firms and End Users to cutting-edge offers, applications and tools to help them achieve their project milestones.
  • Consult with C-Level Executives, Principals, Lead Electrical Engineers, and key Staff Engineers to bring awareness of Schneider Electric innovations to market and where specification influence is key.
  • Work with teams of Sales, Strategic Accounts, Business Development, Services, Industrial Automation Specialists, Application Engineers, and Product Lines to deliver solutions that solve customer needs.
  • Interpret electrical plans and specifications to provide accurate pre-sales application and technical support by recommending solutions to meet customer's project needs.
  • Drive strategic growth with a focus on Medium Voltage at assigned accounts. This role serves as the lead interface for demand generation for EPC Firms in the marketplace. The Consultant Application Engineer's specification efforts should directly position Schneider Electric to win orders prior to projects going out for bid.
  • Account management - lead the OneSchneider account team and maintain timely and accurate CRM hygiene.

Who will you report to?
  • EPC & End User Specification Manager

What skills and capabilities will make you successful?
  • 6+ years relevant design, application or sales experience in Power Distribution preferred.
  • A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred. A Professional Engineering (P.E.) license is a plus.
  • Advanced experience in electrical distribution or energy management industries
  • Advanced experience C-Suite executive relationship building. You are fluent in consultative sales methodologies.
  • Experience with any of the following: low voltage electrical distribution, medium voltage electrical distribution equipment, automation, controls, or energy management technologies. Familiarity with Square D Power Distribution Equipment such as busway, panelboards, transformers, switchboards, electrical components, surge protective devices, paralleling switchgear, services, and software preferred.
