Location is Budapest, Hungary or alternatively Warsaw, Poland.

  • Develop personal expertise in global commodity markets for natural gas, electricity, crude & fuel oils, carbon, and coal
  • Investigate, identify and provide impact analysis of pertinent market information that will affect clients
  • Developing specific hedging strategies for energy commodities u tilizing all available contract or financial instruments for industrial and commercial end-users
  • Performing various types of analyses to assist clients in determining risk appetite via customized strategies toward managing energy market risk
  • Presenting market analysis and strategic directions to external clients
  • Conducting monthly market meetings with clients and internal stakeholders


What we need from you:
  • University diploma or degree (preferably in an analytical field)
  • Fluent English (written and verbal)
  • Minimum 2-3 years experience in a relevant, commercial role
  • Experience in energy commodity fundamentals including crude oil, fuels, natural gas, electric power applicable to Europe markets, with a demonstrated understanding of the application of financial instruments and derivatives
  • Proven ability to understand macro-economic trends and technical charting
  • Experience presenting to senior level executives and external clients
  • Energy contract procurement experience is a huge advantage
  • Execution or knowledge of hedging orders with counter parties is a huge advantage
  • High proficiency in Excel, and other MS Office programs

  • Investigative: digs deeper in their analysis to uncover new, beneficial information/facts
  • Boldness: able to confidently articulate a market opinion to internal and external clients
  • Service: is committed to serving internal and external clients with a high level of excellence
