This role will requires relocation to Hong Kong and is intended to provide consultancy services to help clients on their energy and emissions reduction journeys.

The Energy Consultant will be responsible for delivering energy assessments, facilitating and co-designing energy and emissions reductions strategies and leading customers in their journey to achieve their energy and emissions targets. In addition, the role is responsible for continued internal process improvement, identifying potential cross-sell opportunities and providing in-house subject matter expertise.
Duties and Responsibilities
Energy Consultancy
- Undertake energy auditing and assessments
- Optimise energy using systems
- Identify, calculate and report on savings opportunities to clients and prepare detailed business cases
- Collaboratively build energy and emissions reduction strategies
- Identify the customer issues, needs and to then challenge and bring new ideas that help the customer realise their vision
- Consults and facilitates the customer in all governance aspects of Enterprise Efficiency such as gaining securing budgets, decision making, roll-out plan whilst ensuring the client is accountable for achieving the outcomes.
- Drive implementation of opportunities through our clients organisations
- Securing corporate level commitment to efficiency facilitating the client to define governance to ensure progress. The Lead Consultant can take a role through the program holding the client to account in achieving objectives and desired outcomes.
Energy Projects
- Evaluate project risk and communicate that risk to project team and leaders.
- Evaluate project performance relative to defined goals.
- Manage contractors and provide technical expertise to support project management teams
- Ensures all work is done safely
Strategic Improvement
- Identify and innovate improvements in internal systems
- Support the specification of the technical requirements for new software and analysis tools.
- Assist in driving improvements through to completion
What qualifications will make you successful for this role?
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Sustainability or Environmental Sciences, Energy, resource efficiency or related
- 3-10 years of experience in energy consulting or corporate energy management
- Must have experience conducting energy auditing independently.
- Fluency in English and Mandarin are a MUST
- Willing to travel for business trips and go onsite to conduct energy auditing.
- Deep understanding of the energy & emissions reduction industry
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including, but not limited to, the ability to influence and persuade internal and external Customers, listen effectively, and solicit input from others and be comfortable leading a room in workshop environments.
- Deliver consultancy and implementation projects to schedule and budget.
- Understanding & experience in energy data analysis is a plus.
- BMS and/or SCADA system configuration, and Software and programming experience are a plus.
