Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Embedded Systems Team Leader to drive the development of cutting-edge embedded solutions. This role involves leading a team of engineers working on firmware, hardware, and communication protocols for IoT and embedded products. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Wi-Fi, Matter, Zigbee, and Thread and a deep understanding of embedded software and hardware development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of embedded engineers, providing technical direction and project guidance.
  • Oversee the design, development, and optimization of firmware and hardware for embedded systems.
  • Architect and implement communication protocols including Wi-Fi, Matter, Zigbee, and Thread to ensure seamless connectivity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware, software, and product management, to define requirements and system architecture.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, certifications, and security best practices for embedded devices.
  • Drive testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of embedded systems to improve performance and reliability.
  • Manage project timelines, deliverables, and ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in embedded technologies and connectivity protocols.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in embedded systems development, with 2+ years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of C, C++, RTOS, and microcontroller architectures.
  • Hands-on experience with wireless communication protocols such as Wi-Fi, Matter, Zigbee, and Thread.
  • Proficiency in firmware development, debugging tools, and hardware interfaces (SPI, I2C, UART, etc.).
  • Experience with embedded security best practices and over-the-air (OTA) firmware updates.
  • Strong problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with low-power embedded design and battery-operated devices.
  • Familiarity with IoT platforms and cloud integration.
  • Knowledge of Linux-based embedded systems and scripting (Python, Bash).
  • Experience with agile development methodologies and version control (Git, Jira, etc.).
