We are looking for an Electronics Hardware Design Engineer to join our R&D team in Kolding, Denmark. The role includes both development and sustaining type of work related to electronics hardware designs, focus on large 3-phase Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) and power converters targeting datacentre use cases. You will join a dynamic and agile team, where we work passionately with product development and sustaining end to end activities.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain detailed documentation of the hardware design, including schematics, layout, and bill of materials

  • Lead or active participate in design reviews, ensure hardware design quality and compliance with mandatory internal and external technical standard and write design specifications
  • Do component specification, qualification, including laboratory preparation, prototyping assembly, testing and reporting
  • Perform hardware simulations and modelling when needed
  • Lead and/or facilitate the troubleshooting and resolution of electronics circuity and component issues during the development or product life cycle phases
  • Liaise with others internal stakeholders, including industrialization and factory teams to optimize the design and layout for manufacturing, cost, quality, and efficiency
  • When assigned, evaluate field failure data, investigate root causes and propose and implement solutions for field quality issues
  • Specify and draw cable harness for UPS or power converters
  • Provide and/or contribute to new and innovative ideas to rapidly evolving business development activities
  • Support or active participate in FMEA and product mission profile creation;
  • Plan your own tasks and report the progress during scrum daily meetings
  • Support, advice, train, coach other team members regarding internal processes and technical subject matters.


Your experience, education, and qualifications

You have minimum a bachelor/diploma in electrical or electronics Engineering or similar. You are fluent in English. You have experience in product development, and preferably also in Agile product development methodology.

You must have:
  • Knowledge and experience in electronics hardware including low power electronics design (high frequency power supply and its components (inductors, high frequency transformers etc.))
  • Electronics hands-on and troubleshooting
  • E-CAD tools, preferably CADENCE


If you also have experience and knowledge in some of below areas, it will be an advantage:
  • 3 phase UPS
  • PCB layout
  • Design for Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC)
  • Compliance IEC and UL (62477-1 or 62040 or UL 1778 or UL 1741) or similar standards.
