Within Energy Management - Innovation & Technology Organization, our electronic design expert team within CTO Europe, is made up of highly skilled and experienced professionals in the fields of electronic engineering, printed circuit board design, system modeling, and component technology.

These experts possess a strong understanding of electronic design principles, industry standards, and computer-aided design (CAD) tools. Their mission is to provide coaching and support to designers in all Line of Business (LoB) in order to conceive, prototype, and optimize electronic circuits and boards to meet specific technical specifications. They are also responsible for ensuring that the designs adhere to quality, reliability, and regulatory compliance standards.

Your role :

Reporting to Technical Director, you will be a strong engineering leader to lead a multiskilled team of 25 engineers, articulated around electronics competencies.

You will be responsible for the team management both from a technical and people angle.

You will be also responsible for preparing, managing, tracking the budget for your team for both Opex and Capex investments.

Your missions :

Technical management
  • Manage design and development activities of the team (20+ people). Is accountable for delivering as per roadmap/execution plan of LoBs/electronics CoE
  • Activities of the team are articulated around several poles: electromagnetic compatibility, mechatronics, PCB layout, electronics reliability, power electronics
  • Strong in Collaborating with various teams, business stakeholders, cross functions to establish priorities, roadmaps, planning.
  • Managing and tracking the budget for your teams as Opex and Capex investments (i.e. Lob project/ internal CoE projects and laboratory means).
  • Communicate on activities of your team inside Energy Management Business and externally (partners, suppliers, ecosystem, etc...)
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies is preferred
  • Familiarity with Engineering standards and practices to drive continuous improvement in operational efficiency


People management:
  • Ensure your team is well engaged and motivated. Create safe and high-performance environment for your team.
  • Ability to drive a team of experts, with junior and senior profiles
  • Inclusive leader who has authentic commitment to diversity and ability to challenge the status quo
  • Resource management and career planning. Manage hiring plans, upskilling of your team members. People management activities include (but are not limited to) evaluations, goal setting, performance measurement, succession planning etc
  • Ensure the team competency is at the right level on electronics hardware, firmware, embedded modeling and software to support businesses and innovation programs allowing digitization and serviceability of our future offers


The role is based in Grenoble (Electropole).

Your profile :
  • Master degree in Electronics Engineering
  • Proven experience of 5+ years in Electronics design / project management
  • A first experience of >3 Years of technical management as well as experience in coaching/ mentoring/ building & managing diverse technology teams is preferred.
  • Experience in setting-up collaboration, research program is a plus.

  • Fluent in English, French highly recommended
