What will you do?
We are looking for an Electromechanical Design Engineer for our Power Systems Offer Management team. The mechanical engineer will work with offer marketing team on electrical distribution equipment to maintain and create standard design. This is an interesting opportunity for people who doesn't like routine and are willing to work with many collaborators.
Main responsibilities are:
- Design, modify, evaluate and/or oversee components or effective mechanical unit.
- Maintain the integrity and completeness of product standard under responsibility by initiating design improvements and better manufacturing standards or systems based on Offer Marketing priorities.
- Define, document, analyze, perform, and interpret developmental tests for new and/or modified products or product components.
- Deliver detailed drawings, Bills of Material and change order documentation.
- Apply advanced research techniques and specialized knowledge (such as mechanical, electrical, etc.) to provide engineered, technical solutions.
- Participate and/or lead safety and risk analysis.
- Use effectively the Product Development Process for all projects.

What qualifications will make you successful for this role?

Plus, you have the following quality and certifications:
- University degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent), P.Eng. an asset
- 3 to 5 years in electromechanical design
- Knowledge of AutoCad, ProE/Creo, Microsoft office suite
- Design experience with electromechanical equipment (Busway, Switchboard/Switchgear, Panelboards) and solutions preferred
- Basic electricity knowledge
- Knowledge of electrical distribution Canada/US codes & standards (asset)
- Proven interpersonal, organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work with little supervision
- Effective written, listening, and verbal communication skills
