JOB SUMMARY: (overall purpose/objective of job)
Perform routine electrical maintenance on equipment and the facility's electrical infrastructure; to include troubleshooting electrical problems, installation of equipment and machinery, and adding electrical circuits when needed. Is a member of the maintenance team and works with the team on non-electrical problems when required to support plant goals.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (basic job requirements)
- Perform preventative maintenance to ensure equipment operates as intended
- Inspect, maintain and repair equipment, using a variety of electrical test equipment, meters, powered and non-powered tools and equipment
- Install and troubleshoot AC / DC motors and drives
- Perform all work in compliance with applicable codes, standards, safety and environment regulations
- Responsible for station lockout/tagout procedures as mandated by company policy.
- Responsible for facilities maintenance as required
- Troubleshoot electrical problems on equipment
- Install new electrical and electronic equipment and electrical wiring according to the National Electrical Code and company electrical standards

• Ensure all hazardous materials and waste products are handled in accordance
with all regulations
INTERACTIONS : (ex: internal clients, external clients, management)
- Work safely and cooperatively with co-workers
- Work with co-workers to ensure equipment operates as intended
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: (softskills, specific knowledge)
- Ability to interpret manufacturers' schematics, manuals or similar documents to troubleshoot and repair all types of production equipment
- Ability to work with 480, 208, 110 volt circuits (including running conduit)
- Ability to read and understand instructions for electronic and electrical equipment including schematics.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Associates Degree in electrical technology or journeyman level experience as an electrician in the industrial maintenance or equivalent military training and experience
- At least 3 to 5 years previous experience in industrial maintenance
COMPETENCIES: (list of skills; ex: communication proficiency, detailed oriented, presentation skills, problem solving, results driven,)
- Excellent attendance and safety record
- Able to work overtime as needed
COMPUTER SKILLS:
- Knowledgeable of Microsoft applications and maintenance software
