For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $136,000 - $204,000 per year, which includes base pay and short-term incentive.
The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. We are searching for an Eco-Design and Life Cycle Expert. This is an individual contributor role reporting to I&T NAM HUB Chapter leader
- Within the Innovation & Technology organization, the CTO NAM Eco design team aims to provide to our customers a clear environmental value on products through eco design approach deployment, to reduce the carbon footprint and preserve natural resources of our EM BU Portfolio.
- Passionate about the environmental challenge, you will propose and evaluate Products Technologies and solutions to reduce the environmental impacts of our product and solution offers .
Job Responsibility
With a good technical knowledge of our products, electrical distribution systems and our customers' applications, the candidate will address both stakes of decarbonization and circularity.
Driven by the environmental stakes, the candidate will be in charge of:
- Creating & identifying methods training & tools to improve offers/ solutions environmental performance through eco design.
- Train all persons (Environmental team, engineering team etc.) identified in division about Eco-Design methodology and LCA assessments to support deployment for Culture change .
- Help Divisions leagues & squads to understand environmental impacts measurement, eco design categories & levers to implement based on defined Decarbonization & Circular ambition of the division.
- Supporting Eco design deployment End to End on specific projects and on large scale all squads / projects requiring high level expertise.
- Be the SPOC for Eco design and Deployment Support for all squads of the division assigned in the NAM region.
- Propose the principles of Eco design on innovation roadmap in collaboration with Engineering & architects.
Skills, Requirements & Expertise
- Technical knowledge of our products, electrical distribution systems and our customers' applications
- understanding of the entire ecosystem linked to the different life phases of an electrical installation (prescription, specification, design, construction, implementation, operation, verification, dismantling)
- Experience in Product design and in Life Cycle Analysis for Eco-Design
- Ability to drive change, influence, interact at all levels of the company.
- Ability to lead an international and multi-businesses working group.
- A passion for innovation & Curiosity in new skills and competencies development especially on environmental standpoint.
- Strong communication skills
- Ability for autonomous learning
Qualification
- BS/MS in Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical Engineering from a reputed Institute
- Advanced knowledge in life cycle analysis, environmental evaluation is a must.
- 10 to 15 years of experience in industry or in relevant organization
