What will you do?

As East Regional Specifier Manager, you will have the opportunity to lead a team of Consulting Application Engineers that provide consultants with technical engineering, specification, and application support across SE's complete portfolio of power distribution to optimize system designs and ensure successful project outcomes. The RSM is responsible for supporting and contributing to the growth ambition of the Power Systems and National Sales Force organizations and must work collaboratively with other SE sales leaders as the lead advisor and advocate for the Specifier Go to Market strategy. They are to facilitate new customer acquisition and growth by strategically supporting all technical and sales issues of assigned markets to assure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales cycle. You will collaborate with key stakeholders across a matrixed organization to ensure a cohesive approach to business expansion, as we continue to evolve in a transformational landscape.

Essential Functions:
  • Manage a team of application engineers across the U.S. responsible for developing relationship with Electrical Consultants and Power Systems Designers.
  • Develop a regional specification strategy in line with the national strategy to support Power Systems targets.
  • Manage and coordinate the activities of field-based application engineers as well as inside application engineers.
  • Responsible for achieving prescribed pipeline sales targets (both volume and mix) for Schneider Electric's Power Systems Business in the U.S. to meet organizational strategic objectives.
  • Work with team to identify market needs through business development analysis and competitive research to aid in Market Intelligence for Electrical Distribution in different market.
  • Assist team with maximizing market penetration through account planning and execution.
  • Share market conditions and competitive analysis feedback (products, pricing, segments, and promotional activities) to offer management to improve roadmap development.
  • Assist team with managing relationships and communications with customer base.
  • Provide C-level customer interaction within assigned areas.
  • Work with digital team to assist with the identification and commercialization of digital tools for the design space.
  • Work with marketing to plan activities, presentations, technical sessions, and events.
  • Provide leadership and support to other lines of business to maximize synergy level across different business sectors to cover the market effectively.
  • Achieve targeted prescribed pipeline, both volume and mix. Who we target what we target and what we target them with through coaching, managing, and developing team of application engineers.
  • Manage specification strategy for east region and area.
  • Regional specification strategy in line with the national specification strategy. That it fits and works with the geography but supports our goals.

Who will you report to?
  • This position will report to the Director of Specifier Channel

What qualifications will make you successful for this role?

  • Bachelor's degree in relatable to engineering or busines
  • 7+ years' experience in a sales or marketing function working in the electrical industry.
  • 5+ years leadership experience for a growth oriented, dynamic industry leader in a comparable size/scope role.
  • Record of accomplishment in building and developing high performing diverse teams, in a matrixed organization.
  • Experience and in-depth knowledge of Technical/Engineering focused sales.
  • Proven ability to work in a competitive landscape establishing rigor and cadence to drive sales team to deliver measurable results.
  • Travel 25% within the US.
