This role is responsible for leading a country team of commercial business developers as well as a COE Leader (plus team) that are dedicated to supporting the country in all aspects of sales, strategy development, and business growth for EcoStruxure Automation Expert (EAE). Acting as subject matter experts, the EAE team serves as a vital link between country and IA Business unit, ensuring comprehensive support for sales activities and deal closures as needed. In addition to direct sales, the EAE team plays a critical role in organizing and executing workshops, trade shows, and events.

This role requires a collaborative and proactive leader capable of fostering strong relationships across technical, commercial, and regional teams while ensuring EAE strategies are effectively executed at every level.

This role will require approximately 30% - 50% of travel.

Your IMPACT:
  • Commercial Leadership: Lead all global commercial activities and strategy deployment for Automation Expert (EAE) to scale the business in collaboration with your team.
  • Evangelism: Serve as the primary advocate and ambassador for Automation Expert, setting the tone for all commercial initiatives and promoting EAE as a strategic offering.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for country and the Industry Business unit on all matters related to EAE.
  • Growth Programs: Design and implement growth programs, initiatives, and winning strategies targeted at key customers and market segments.
  • Technical Alignment: Stay up-to-date with EAE's technical roadmap and ensure complete synchronization between the commercial strategy and technical readiness.
  • Enablement: Ensure country teams and System Integrators (SIs) are fully trained and equipped with the necessary tools to effectively scale EAE.
  • Product Launches: Lead and coordinate the launch of new EAE versions, features, and functionalities across all country teams.
  • Competitive Positioning: Monitor competitor offerings and guide the country on strategies to position EAE as a leading solution in the market.
  • Sales Enablement: Develop and deploy sales tactics, presentations, and other resources to enable country teams to achieve growth objectives.
  • Deal Closing: Provide direct support for deal closures and customer engagements as needed.
  • Community Engagement: Maintain a local EAE community in country to while being an active participant to the EAE global community through workshops, "build-me-up" sessions, and other collaborative forums.
  • Marketing Collaboration: Partner with IA marketing team to position EAE as a market leader, ensuring alignment with the overarching commercial strategy.
  • Representation: Represent EAE at company events, trade shows, and industry fairs.
  • Sales Initiatives: Deploy sales initiatives across all go-to-market channels, including End Users, OEMs, Independent Automation Distributors (IADs), and System Integrators.
  • Segment Focus: Collaborate with segment teams to identify and penetrate strategic sub-segments and applications for EAE.
  • Reporting: Provide monthly and quarterly reports on all EAE-related commercial activities, highlighting progress, challenges, and outcomes.


Stakeholder Management:
  • Work closely with both technical and commercial teams in the country to ensure seamless integration and execution of Automation Expert (EAE) initiatives.
  • Maintain regular communication with Sales Leaders, and other key stakeholders in the countries to drive alignment on EAE strategies and priorities.
  • Build and sustain a relationship of trust and collaboration with the Global Industry BU ensuring all commercial initiatives and growth strategies are well understood and integrated into local activities and decision-making.
  • Act as the primary conduit between the country and LOBs on EAE-related topics, including escalations and feature prioritization.
  • Conduct pipeline reviews with Global Industry BU and closely track growth activities to ensure consistent progress and performance.
  • Participate in joint customer visits with your sales teams to support opportunity creation and drive growth for EAE as needed.

About You:
  • This role requires a dynamic, results-oriented leader with a strong commercial mindset, strategic vision.
  • A degree in engineering or business is essential; an MBA is considered a strong asset.
  • A proven track record of experience in a commercial leadership role in Industrial Automation.
  • Proven experience in successfully launching new products and offerings into the market.
  • In-depth understanding of IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things) and the convergence between IT and OT.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop strategies and drive them through to successful deployment.
  • Hands-on experience working with system integrator partners and distributor channels.
  • A strategic thinker with strong leadership capabilities, able to guide and inspire teams effectively.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, including the ability to engage and influence executive-level audiences.
  • Fluent in English and German, both verbal and written.
