The Opportunity
Our Global Supply Chain (GSC) team are currently seeking a Distribution Centre Team Lead for a permanent position to be based in Dandenong South, VIC.

This site is the Victorian Distribution Centre and is the home of our Home and Distribution product team, facilitating best in class lead times of our product to customers across Australia and New Zealand.
The Distribution Centre Team Lead will supervise the day-to-day running of a Distribution Centre Department and shift to meet internal and external customer requirements, and objectives.
Reporting into the Distribution Centre Manager, this role also acts as the key contact for sector and support operations in identifying, solving, or escalating ERP issues.
This exciting new career opportunity will see you:
- Managing safety and incidents as they occur and ensuring corrective actions are identified and completed
- Liaising with customers and meeting on time delivery targets
- Supervision of 4-15 employees per site shift
- Ensuring all quality assurance protocols and standards are adhered to
- Monitory and providing recommendations to optimise department performance and direct labour productivity
This is an on-site position, requiring attendance at our Dandenong South site 5 days a week. Requests for flexible arrangements can be accommodated from time to time.
Our ideal candidate will possess:
- Diploma in Business or Cert III or IIII in Front Line Management (or a similar relevant discipline)
- Experience in an Industrial Warehousing operations environment required
- 3+ years in a supervisory position is essential
- Demonstrated understanding and experience in quality and standards compliance
- SAP/ERP flows knowledge highly regarded
- Proven ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholder groups and strong commercial acumen
- A growth mindset through well-developed digital skills and a technical aptitude
- Exposure to Continuous Improvement, Lean, Kaizen, 5S and Six Sigma tools highly regarded
- Well-developed interpersonal skills coupled with the ability to promote Schneider Electric's commitment to safety and sustainability.
