Our Global Supply Chain (GSC) team are currently seeking a Distribution Centre Manager for a permanent position to be based in Ingleburn, NSW. The DC Manager is a leadership opportunity to manage our Distribution Centre and lead a high performing team.

Our Distribution Centre is recognized globally as a SMART Logistic platform, embedding some of the most advanced solutions and innovations. It covers 17,500M2 of storage capacity together with efficient and ergonomic equipment including a new fleet of Materials Handling Equipment and is a full Green SITE facility, servicing industries including mining, hospitals, utilities, and data centres.
Reporting to the Director of Logistics, DC Operations and Transport, the DC Manager is a key leadership role to ensure the on time delivery of materials from the receiving of goods to internal and external customers. The DC Manager will mentor a supervisory team of up to 10 on frontline shifts overseeing the day-to-day running of a DC Department and pivot to meet internal and external customer requirements, and objectives.
The DC Manager also leads the wider team of up to 170 employees and contractors to implement sustainable stock movement systems which includes managing inventory stock control within lean principles in line with key organizational performance indicators.
Key responsibilities:
- Communicate and drive activities from the strategic plan to ensure improvement targets are met
- Assist in the development of project teams to ensure strategic plan and continuous improvement activities are achieved
- Communication of direction, progress against production plan, initiatives, changes and successes
- Build and maintain working relationships at all levels to ensure harmonious industrial relations
- Implementation of processes into the Distribution Centre under SPS
- Ensure completion of work quality audits
- Drive and implement continuous improvement processes and plans
This is an on-site position, requiring attendance at our Ingleburn site 5 days a week.
About you:
This role requires a dynamic, results-oriented leader with a strong commercial mindset and a zero-harm approach to safety, together with the ability to execute quality systems and tools with precision.
You will have minimum 7 years of direct management experience of Distribution Centre preferably with similar electrical or highly regulated industrial warehousing operations. Your experience will be supported by a tertiary qualification in a Logistics or Business discipline or Cert III / IV in Front Line Management.
Key skills and experience:
- Demonstrated understanding and experience in quality and standards compliance
- SAP/ERP flows knowledge highly regarded
- Proven ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholder groups and strong commercial acumen
- A growth mindset through well-developed digital skills and a technical aptitude
- Exposure to Continuous Improvement, Lean, Kaizen, 5S and Six Sigma tools highly regarded
- Well-developed interpersonal skills coupled with the ability to promote Schneider Electric's commitment to safety and sustainability
- In-depth knowledge and practical application of Health Safety and Environment (HSE) practices and legislation
- Highly developed technical problem-solving capability complemented by an authentic and passionate customer-centric approach
