About the opportunity:

Join our Industrial Automation and Heavy Industry Segment team, responsible for shaping and driving strategies in Industrial Automation and Electrification. In this role, you will own various value propositions and the training process for the segment, collaborating with stakeholders across Lines of Business (LoBs) like Sales, Operations, and Marketing. Your focus will be on creating sustainable value propositions that align our offerings with the Segment Strategy and go-to-market plans globally, all while fostering creativity and following company processes.

Reporting to the Head of Segment Strategy, Technology, and Marketing, you will align strategies with marketing drivers and inputs from our Industrial Automation, Energy Management, and Services Business Units, with a specific emphasis on relevant offers for the Mining, Minerals, and Metals segment. You will collaborate with Global Solution Consultants and Technical Consultants to sharpen our Unique Value Propositions (UVPs) for Sales and Marketing. Serving as a sponsor and collaborator for our strategic initiatives, you will maximize impact by engaging with various Schneider Electric groups, partners, and entities like Innovation at the Edge.

In this role, you will oversee the entire product and project lifecycles for our clients and their solutions, understanding the multidisciplinary domains and technologies commonly used in the segment, as well as the global drivers pushing for innovation and partnerships. We seek an all-rounder with strong knowledge of power systems and process automation, as well as a willingness to learn about the latest technologies applicable to our sub-segments. You will collaborate with teams across the company to ensure that our strategies are innovative and impactful, supporting IIoT/Industry 4.0 trends and enhancing our market share.

Key responsibilities:
  • Lead planned and ad-hoc strategic studies to explore new growth areas with Regional Operations leadership, LoBs, and the head of segment strategy and marketing.
  • Support and accelerate Green Industry pathway revenues by assisting Global Solution Consultants in articulating specific Green UVPs and enhancing their architectures.

  • Support sub-segment consultants in preparing competition analyses, market share data, and presentation slides that highlight our strengths.
  • Collaborate on the green industry strategy for Industrial Automation, Energy Management, Services, and L2/L3 Software with Corporate Strategy and Influence Groups.
  • Leverage value and shared client activities for segments like industrial water and decarbonization in partnership with technology leaders in batteries and electric vehicles.
  • Understand IIoT/Industry 4.0 trends and their sustainability impacts at the sub-segment level, identifying barriers to rapid adoption and strategies to address them.
  • Work with Technology and Innovation teams to address gaps in LoB offers regarding functionality.
  • Explore future strategic partnerships and M&A opportunities to enhance relevance and overcome gaps.
  • Promote business impact through engagement in critical deals, aiding Pre-Sales materials including specifications.
  • Deliver up-to-date education and training for our extended segment team, including EPCs, OEMs, end users, and system integrators.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive three-year training plan for the internal team to facilitate ease of learning for each role type and sub-segment.

  • A strong customer-oriented mindset with the ability to support business opportunities at both C-level and operational levels.
  • Business intelligence skills, combined with conceptual and strategic capabilities, and a keen enthusiasm for business development and problem-solving.
  • Alignment with our core values, particularly acting as an owner in decision-making that aligns with organizational and segment strategic goals.
  • Solid knowledge of power systems engineering, including network simulation, protection, and power electronics.
  • Familiarity with Schneider Electric's offerings (Process Controls, Electrical Systems like MV, LV, UPS, monitoring & control, and relays) at both the offer and specification levels.
