For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $99,200.00-148,800.00per year, which includes base pay and short-term incentive.
The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. The Schneider Electric North America Strategic Customers team is a dynamic sales force within Schneider Electric, energizing the company's most critical Customers toward innovation, digitization, and sustainability in the new energy landscape.
The Digital Sales Specialist (DSS) provides sales support for Schneider Electric's full portfolio of solutions to help enable Account Executives to serve strategic SLED (US state & local government and education) customers . The DSS will prospect through informal outreach and formal campaigns , organize leads , and qualify opportunities that - once qualified - may transition to account executives, to close and win.
Additionally, the DSS will own and/or support procurement-related activities that allow Schneider Electric to effectively compete in the SLED market. Such activities include but are not limited to completing vendor registration processes, actively managing customer-specific bid boards (i.e., reviewing published RFx and sharing those that merit r esponses to the appropriate account executive, and supporting policy / budget research.
A DSS will execute insi de sales and procurement-related activities under the direction of the Enterprise SLED Sales Director with limited supervision. This individual will have a minimal need to travel and engage prospective customers in person.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Gain a n understanding of a customer's requirements, challenges, and priorities through secondary research and live engagement
- Help q ualify opportunities during customer discovery calls (i.e., budget, authority, need , and timing)
- Collaborate with SLED DSS team members in other geographies to share best practices and develop targeted outreach strategies that enable revenue growth
- Help to create engaging presentations, demonstrations, and proposals to potential clients, effectively showcasing the value of our solutions.
- Help to conduct comprehensive market analysis and competitive research to identify opportunities for market differentiation and inform strategic decision-making.
- Partner with DSS peers in Schneider Electric's individual business units to advance a "One Schneider" approach into customers that they share with the Enterprise SLED organization, in which this role resides
- Stay updated and informed on SE digital sales technology and tools.
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS/COMPETENCIES
- Highly motivated and experienced individual who has a proven record of sales organizational skills and diligence needed to drive digital industrial solutions.
- Bachelor's degree in technical field or work experience equivalent.
- Minimum 2-3 years' experience in sales profession.
- Outstanding consultative selling abilities and excellent interpersonal skills with customers and partners.
- Knowledge of energy, electrical distribution and building automation software.
- Familiarity with big data tools , analytics tools , and CRM (preferably Salesforce) .
- Familiar it y with public sector procurement mechanisms (e.g., vendor registration portals, bid boards, Request for Proposal documentation, etc.)
- Ability to thrive in uncertainty, adapt to changes in the market and pivot with the team as needed.
- Strong relationship building & communication skills.
- Tenacity, resilience, emotional intelligence.
- Ability to work collaboratively, within the sales team, surrounding SE community, and external clients.
- Ability to travel within US on a limited basis ; our expectation is that the DSS will prima rily be engaging customers virtualy .
