Digital Energy Regional Sales Manager

What will you do?

Schneider Electric is looking to hire a Regional Sales Manager for our Digital Energy technology business in Western Canada. In this role, you will assist in developing strategies and schedules to meet the goals and objectives and provide coaching and development activities for the sales Team necessary to ensure execution of plans. You will provide ongoing support to clients, high value channel partners and internal sellers and implement business strategies to achieve profitable business relationships and identify new revenue opportunities with major accounts.

  • Develop order forecast, budget and manpower plans. Define markets, market potentials and appropriate sales strategies for the region.
  • Partner with customers and key channel partners to plan strategies, provide quality services, train customer's personnel and provide support necessary for attainment of customer's goals and objectives. Anticipate obstacles and identifies alternative strategies.
  • Assist in formulating, communicating, implementing and evaluating strategic and tactical sales plans. Monitor sales performance. Provide coaching and development activities necessary to ensure successful execution of plans.
  • Maintain active relationships with key customers. Negotiate discrepancies between customer's expectations and SE's.
  • Assist staff in dealing with specific target audiences such as end customers, engineering consulting firms, system integrators, distributors, and contractors.
  • Coordinate sales activities in area with other areas and national account management to penetrate national accounts.
  • Negotiate and construct appropriate terms of sales when necessary.
  • Constantly improve relationships with strategic partners including customers and EcoXpert System Integrators.
  • Drive the development of the team.

What qualifications will make you successful for this role?

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of second level management experience (or equivalent) and proven leadership skills.
  • Technical experience in the building automation, power metering, power monitoring, and energy management of the high-tech industry.
  • Experience in determining and managing sales quotas.
  • Experience working with channel partners and directly managing a team (highly preferred)
  • Strategic self-starter with the ability to identify gaps, opportunities, and resources to accomplish desired business objectives.
  • Must be skilled at selling compelling, integrated programs to clients.
  • Customer-centric, solutions-focused, articulate, and comfortable building relationships at senior levels.
  • Effective in working with diverse groups internally and with customer representatives, such as management, engineering, and purchasing.

The compensation range for this full-time position, which includes base pay and short-term incentive, is $115,200-$172,800 for candidates who are B.C. residents. Our salary ranges are determined by including roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. If you feel that your experience is either above or below the initial requirements listed, we still encourage you to apply for the position. We are considering candidates of varying seniority for this role, and the salary range will be adjusted accordingly based on your experience.
