Context of DevOps CoE Team

We are looking for a talented DevOps engineer to join or DevOps CoE team. EcoOS/Technologies and R&D organization is part of Schneider Digital which is a major contributor of the Schneider digital strategy. THis group is creating new business and technology capabilities for the group to further develop Internet of Things enabled offers and grow Digital Services (Connected and Managed services) to support our customers in their efficiency and sustainability challenges. Infrastructure & Operations team belong to EcoOS / Technologies and R&D organization and is responsible to cover : Azure Landing zone, E2E Operations, DevOps foundations, Observability, Infrastructure & Container platforms management for the whole organization. DevOps CoE Team is subset of Infrastructure & Operations organization, currently composed of 6 DevOps engineers supported by a Scrum Master and a Technical Product owner located in France and India.

Responsibilities

We expect the DevOps Engineer to contribute to our 3 main thematics :
  • DevOps foundations ( Software delivery & Deployment Methodologies & Tools)
  • Observability Solutions
  • Container Plaform Management

As part of the DevOps product team, DevOps Engineer will have to contribute to the following topics :
  • Design and implement best practices and blueprints on our 3 main thematics
  • Provide adoption support to Dev Teams through consulting activities on our reference implementations.
  • Maintain over the time delivered reference implementations
  • Act as L3 for E2E operation team


Expected skills

We do cover a large scope of technologies, we do not expect the candidate to manage all of them :
  • E2E Vision : Complete understanding of Software delivery lifecycle from build to run activities
  • Cloud : Azure Cloud (Certifications appreciated), AWS (With Rosetta stone is acceptable)
  • CI-CD : Github (Yaml pipelines), Ansible.
  • Observability : Open Telemetry, Dynatrace, Azure monitor (or equivalent)
  • Container platforms : Docker, AKS (K8S) and alternatives (ACA...)
  • Infrastructure as code : Terraform or OpenTofu
  • Deployment management & Repositories structure: GitOps
  • Scripting: PowerShell, Python, Unix Shell...
  • Operating system: Windows & Linux
  • Collaboration : JIRA, confluence, Github, Sharepoint

Other skills:
  • Experience of run phases to understand challenges related to transition with R&D.
  • Very good communication skills to ease adoption of reference implementations
  • Ability to guide / Influence the work of a team to improve their DevOps maturity
  • Familiar with nonfunctional requirements: Logs, Backup, DRP, Resilient design ...
  • Experience in agile project (Safe is a +)
  • Golang is a + (Test automation)
  • Proactive and autonomous
  • Experience of international project / English: Professional
