Imagine developing a super advanced and scalable cross-platform development infrastructure that our global R&D teams will use. Our IoT platform for Building Management is already a hit, and it's packed with tech depth, so you'll be learning and experiencing new things every day. You'll be part of a high-performing, innovative team of top-notch developers. The job is based in Lund, but you'll be chatting with our other development sites around the world daily. (Yes, you can brag about your international meetings.)

Our Digital Buildings Business at Schneider Electric offers smart building management solutions. We help customers create productive and comfy environments, cut down on energy use, and run building operations smoothly. Think of us as the superheroes of building management - capes optional.

Our Building Business R&D team has about 200 engineers working in agile SW and HW development teams. It's like a tech playground, but with more coffee and fewer slides.

What you'll be doing:
  • Develop custom tools and solutions using Rust and Python to support our R&D team.
  • Implement on-prem CI/CD pipelines on Linux for our embedded products and PC software using GitHub, Docker, Jenkins, Artifactory and more.
  • Use a combination of programming knowledge, threat management, and communication skills to automate and integrate cybersecurity at every stage of the SDLC lifecycle.
  • Deploy, monitor and maintain no-prem infrastructure on Linux and Windows.
  • Automate wherever possible but know when to stop.
  • Constantly innovate and check out new technologies.
  • Collaborate with software teams in Europe and the U.S.

What we're looking for:
  • A Bachelor or Master of Science in Computer Science or something similar.
  • A team player who values team success.
  • Experience with Agile working methods.
  • Good knowledge of programming and scripting languages like Rust and Python.
  • Understanding of system administration tasks on Linux and Windows, configuring and deploying operating systems, networks, and application stacks.
  • Experience with continuous integration and delivery pipelines using git, Artifactory, and Docker.
  • Exposure to on-prem Kubernetes and Azure cloud services.
  • Great communication and problem-solving skills - quick learner and knowledge sharer.
