Your responsibilities :

The data architect/steward is responsible for working with the product marketing managers to gather the product characteristics (physical and technical) to present the offer on our website or our partner's e-shop. You are responsible for all the data assets associated with one or more industrial automation product families.

You will collaborate with other specialists in the team: catalog writers, graphics, and other data architects to ensure the overall consistency of our offer presentation.

Your missions:

This role requires you to:
  • Engage with all the stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle - LoB managers, catalog writers, digital experience specialists, and pictures team, understand and translate their requirements into offer presentations delivering better customer experience.
  • Dialogue meaningfully and convince the stakeholders about your understanding of the product, process, project needs, taxonomy, external standards (ETIM & ECLASS classification), and project decisions.
  • Ensure data consistency between external standards, digital tools, and internal product datasheets backed up by a robust taxonomy.
  • Coordinate creation, data centralization, continuous updating, and withdrawal of all assets for the product family while executing the product/offer evolution or new product launch defined by the marketing team.
    • Product data sheets with relationships.
    • Pictures & 3D models.
    • Dimensional drawings.
    • ETIM classification and valorization.
    • ECLASS data for Independent Software Vendors.
    • Data for the promotional Digital tools such as selectors and configurators.
    • validate new data classification, and web presentation structure and maintain existing data sets.
    • Navigate efficiently the changes in the project requirements and the tools.
    • Guarantee product data quality according to SE quality standards for Web publication.
  • Unhesitatingly and fearlessly challenge a proposed solution with a bigger vision in mind, provide alternate solutions in case of a deadlock.
  • Understand the Product Information Database (PIM) and processes to ensure that relevant digital assets (catalogs, user manuals, CAD files, Certificates, Environmental data) are attached correctly to the references.

You are:
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in (Electrical & Electronics /Electronics & Communications /Electronics & Instrumentation) engineering with Industrial Automation knowledge and an appetite for business and digitization
  • 5-10 years of experience in the Industrial automation domain
  • Marketing skill is a plus.


You have:
  • Knowledge of Industrial automation products, their functions, design, and applications
  • Hands-on experience in facing customers giving you a customer-driven mindset or marketing experience.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, spoken and written to produce top content for international publication and be comfortable with native and non-native speakers.
  • Must possess leadership qualities to take the lead on new initiatives or challenge existing practices for continuous improvement, and a willingness to work in transversal groups in the global marketing team.
  • Must demonstrate project management capability - planning and tracking deliverables, anticipating blocking points, organizing regular meetings, and reporting status of all deliverables to the stakeholders.
  • Advanced level in MS Excel.
  • Digital literacy and information literacy.

Nice to have:
  • Knowledge and understanding of Schneider-electric products.
  • PIM solution knowledge.
  • Knowledge of the ETIM classification and possibly other data taxonomy standards such as ECLASS.
  • Knowledge on selection and configuration of products.
