For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $164,000 - $246,000 per year, which includes base pay and short-term incentive.

The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Schneider Electric is looking for an experienced Data Center Solution Architect, supporting our Cloud & Service Providers segment for our GSA business.

What will you do?

  • Business scope is to support strategic account(s) across the complete Schneider Electric offer portfolio
  • Be the pre-sales technical (trusted) advisor to influence strategic account and relevant consulting & engineering firms on architectures, systems and products of Schneider Electric for data centres application and CSP businesses
  • Secure that the technical value proposition, needs and requirements are enough described with the customer and then well communicated and shared internally
  • Identify potential offer enhancements and collaborate with LoB to drive customization to support growth opportunities

Contribute to support growth and profitability of the account by:
    • Delivering the technical material and support in coordination with expertises, competency centres, business development/V2 resources of the Line of Business (LoB)
    • Securing regular communication and handover to the Global or Regional Application Centres for coming projects thru description of initial designs, specifications descriptions, technical documentations, choices and outcomes of technical workshops made with customers
    • Being directly involved to support up to S1 gate, directly help the Account Managers to prepare the S0 gate, "consulted" for technical review of the offer submitted by Application Centre (S2 gate)
  • Applications scope: IT & Telecom data centres / critical facilities
  • Technical scope: Grid connectivity, MV/LV, Transformers, back-up generation, secure power/ UPS, HVAC: Cooling production distribution and room cooling, IT room / racks
  • Digital transformation: capacity to lead and leverage EcoStruxure suite from connectivity & control to advanced applications, services and more collaboration covering Grid, Power, Building, IT domains
  • Ensure communication / close the loop with the Global team (Solution Architect, Program Manager...) to secure consistency between global and regional / local entities
  • International travel up to 25% of the time, need personal ability and visa / passport


What qualifications will make you successful?
  • Electrical Engineering/Master degree or in Electronics
  • 5+ years working experience with technical role in critical facilities "focus on Power Systems" as application or design engineer, product & system development manager, business development specialist, solution or system architect
  • 5 years facing customers in various technical environment and capacity to prepare and lead technical conversation according to customer's projects or technical points to cover
  • Ideally owns a system architecture methodology certification
  • Capacity to solve problem and give orientation to help customer to make decision with good listening and understanding of complex situations
  • Proven technical knowledge with capacity to define, delegate and coordinate right level of expertise from Schneider Electric facing customers
  • Ability to influence and converge customer's objectives with interests of Schneider Electric business & profitability
  • Communication skills (internal & external) with right adaptation according to audience and situation
  • Ability to foster cooperation in large and international organizations and develop network
  • Languages: English
  • Cross culture knowledge or experience
