Objectives:

As part of a global team dealing with Datacenter projects with organizational, contractual, and technical complexity, the Data Center EPMS Site System Engineer oversees the project Commissioning of key customer accounts. His main role is to commission, coordinate and troubleshoot standard EPMS solutions, while reporting his activity to the technical leaders and the project managers of the projects. Key aspects of a role are:

  • Good communication with technical teams within a multi-country and multi-cultural environment, to insure full customer (internal & external) satisfaction performance.
  • Ability to interact with key stakeholders on site to ensure good deployment of the solutions (delay, schedules, issues management, troubleshooting, team coordination).

Location & Commitiments:

  • Slovakia our offices in Bratislava, Žilina and Košice or your home country within EU. Possibility to work remotely
  • Candidates are welcome from: Europe (EU passport holders), preferrably: Slovakia, Romania, Croatia
  • Extensive international travel (70%) for Commissioning activities, FATs, Internal Validations. Short notice mobilization request in some cases


Main mission:

Execution Phase
  • Understand specifications of the solution and communicate with technical leader
  • Work in collaboration with project technical leader and other system engineers during Validation and Commissioning phases to meet project schedule (FAT, SAT)
  • Report site activities in a formal manner to the Technical Leader and the Project Manager on regular basis, through minutes, time sheets, reports, etc.
  • Be proactive in the activity management on site (schedule, troubleshooting, customer meetings)
  • Coordinate other SE Commissioning teams on site (advice, work plan, support)
  • Contribute to technical meetings with key customer representatives to define strategy for Commissioning and troubleshooting activities
  • Install and test all devices of the solution and provide completed test sheets to the technical leader during internal validation, FAT, and commissioning
  • Inform timely the management about project events impacting project performance or compliance with governance principles
  • Support project teams on any Software and system question or issue.
  • Update the Project Lessons learnt database after each project commissioning (using GAC DP Tool)
  • Ability to train customers representatives on site during commissioning
  • Put in place the "Request for Support" system between Local SE Commissioning team and GAC DP to ensure technical support
  • Provide remote project support of Commissioning in progress (Request for Support process)
  • Ensure Commissioning activities are done in full respect of Schneider Electric Health and Safety guidelines
  • Ensure best quality of deliveries, including configuration, back-ups, documentations and communication


Maintenance & Service Phase
  • Ability to give Training to other support teams when required
  • Provide full Level 3 support during the service contract duration (usually 3 years)
  • Emergency support for critical service site activities

  • Project Technical Leaders, Project Managers and Engineers in Execution centers
  • Customer site managers
  • Marketing and quality representatives

Requirements:
  • University degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years in Engineering within Project execution environment in the energy business
  • Strong technical background in SCADA, HMI, or energy management solution
  • Experience in at least two segments: Oil & Gas, Data Center, Smart Building, Utility, Transport
  • Strong communication skills, effective in a cross-cultural environment to foster collaboration toward a common goal
  • Able to drive people in an intense environment such as site commissioning
  • Strong technical competencies in energy management business and Schneider Electric solutions
  • Proven technical leadership skills in project context, focusing despite stress and headwinds, on business objectives
  • Advanced competencies in communication network and Industrial HMI.
  • Strong site activities background
  • Ability to understand, influence & convince in a complex matrix organization
  • Fluent communication skills in English language (minimum B2 level) is mandatory, Fluency in another EU language is an advantage (French, German, Spanish)
  • Driving licence cat. B
  • EU passport is an advantage condition for the role
