Job Title: Customs and Trade Operations Specialist
Location: North America (NAM)
Department: GSC NAM Transportation and Customs
Reports to: NAM Customs, Sr Manager
Job Summary
This position is the responsible party to keep the trusted partner status in regards of IMMEX certification, special permits and new building legal submissions in the Mexico Manufacturing Landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with customs regulations and laws for imports and exports.
- IMMEX / Maquiladora permits and registrations
- PROSEC Sectorial Program permits and registrations.
- Annual renewal of Power of Attorney (POA) for broker agents.
- Solicitation of Import and Export Licenses and Special Permits along the multiple government offices in Mexico
- Renewal of the certification Revision in Origin
- Ixport Data Stage. Monthly solicitation to MX government
- Monitor and interpret changes in customs regulations and advise stakeholders accordingly.
- Liaise with customs authorities and other regulatory bodies to resolve compliance issues.

Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of customs regulations, trade compliance programs, and international shipping practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail, time sensitive task completions and strong organizational skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in relevant software and customs management systems.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in international business, logistics, lawyer, supply chain management, industrial engineering or a related field
- Position will have Power of Attorney limited to attend International Trade matters
- Relevant certifications (e.g., APICS, PMP, Green/Black Belt) are a plus
• +5y previous experience in customs compliance / operations, working for consulting firm, project management or logistics is often preferred.
