Job Title: Customer Project Tendering Architect - Digital Power Applications

Mission :

Within the Digital Power Applications team, provide full technical support to Sales & Tendering teams during the pre-sales and tendering phase of large and complex multi-technology customer projects.

Meeting the expected service levels of customers and Schneider Electric's business goals to achieve and exceed quotation lead time and quotation to order conversion rates.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead technically - including functional leadership - the definition of the winning architecture & technical solution proposed versus customer needs.
  • Master technical risks, including identification of all interfaces & create mitigation strategies to build compliant and optimized proposals.
  • Be accountable for the technical feasibility of the architecture and technical solution proposed, and act as a Subject Matter Expert in multi-technology architecture design for customers.
  • Create & maintain a library of optimised 'core' system architectures that can be used as a baseline for generating project specific proposals or responding quickly when a budgetary proposal is required.
  • Create & maintain a library of optimised 'core' system BoMs that can be used as a baseline for generating project specific proposals or responding quickly when a budgetary proposal is required.
  • Participate in RFQ/RFP review and Bid/No Bid decision process to determine if solution required aligns with Schneider Electric's project and product portfolio.

Skills and attributes:

  • You should have a good depth of knowledge and experience of the following,
  • Automation solutions and product knowledge, including use case applications and functionality required to prescribe suitable Power Monitoring Systems, SCADA, Automation, Protection and RTU solutions and products to design appropriate solutions.
  • Understanding of HV and LV Electrical distribution systems
  • Understanding of competitor offers and up to date switchgear technology.
  • Awareness of the company's manufacturing/purchasing strategy & manufacturing capability.
  • Interpersonal skills with different cultures.
  • Fully PC, Windows & Office 365 literate.


Education

  • Essential: Degree/HNC level in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
  • Desirable: Project Management, Commercial Management, Contract Management or Purchasing related training.
