Customer Project Technical Engineer

Job Responsibilities

o Complete and release design and documentation changes required to maintain and optimize an existing product offer.

o Oversee development and making adaptation of the product definition file:

o 3D component modeling

o 3D assembly creation

o 2D drawing creation

o BOM creation

o Manufacturing drawings creation

o Support on identifying possible suppliers of parts.

o Support Engineers with the analysis and resolution of problems using methodical problem-solving techniques (e.g. 5 Whys) and tools (e.g. Fishbone Diagram).

o Work collaboratively on cross-functional teams to address quality, performance, and productivity objectives.

o Update Design Failure Mode Effects Analysis (DFMEA) documents to reflect product design changes.

o Coordinate prototypes builds at local model shop and assess concept's mechanical performance.

Desired Qualifications

o Technical degree in a Mechanical, Industrial, or related field.

o 3-5 years of relevant design experience o Familiar with power systems / low voltage equipment

o Familiar with manufacturing processes (e.g. Metal forming, metal stamping, thermoset/thermoplastic molding, etc ...).

o Familiar with Design for Manufacture and Design for Assembly techniques.

o Training or experience in the following areas:

o Drawing standards

o GD&T

o Tolerance Analysis

o CAD modeling (CREO knowledge a plus)

o CAD modeling (Autodesk Inventor/ Solid Works/AutoCad
